you should install the MAD brace for the best clearance, if you install it with the stock brace, you need to use washers to create enough clearance

I just got mine today. I saw a small protrusion on both flanges. Is this concerning? Trying to get an idea before I go under the car. Also, is the cut on the middle dimples for both sides?

I just installed mine today. The fitment is fine, not 100% flush like OEM, but there's no leak. The included brace could be beefier as well. It's not as thick as the OEM. Overall I'm happy with the result. There's almost no volume difference in comfort mode with the valve closed, but it growls in sports mode with the valve open.
Thanks to Good 4 2 reasons for helping me along the process. |

And Im having exactly the same issue Midpipe flushes kinda OK to upper mad downpipe but the lower one does not. Exactly the same issue as guys are describing... I dont know, I'll try to unbolt but looking at it it seems you have production issue. Downpipes as well did not fit into turbo housing, had to sand it down. I'll need to visit someone to test if the downpipe to midpipe connection leaks or not, but there is around 5mm gap on. Maybe EU g87 have slight differences or the cnc calibrations are off. |

Upper one flushes but lower just does not have enough length, around 1.5cm gap. |

Do not overighten the bolts. Those flanges look close enough to press that gasket against both sides . Turn it on and feel for any leaks. As for gaskets they typically don't need to be replaced unless damaged.

1) unfortunately i didnt have welder so I had to tighten the bolts pretty hard. I only can hope that while going hard the vclamp wont fail. Dunno how much the flex part actually stretches and how much additional pull force vclamp currently has. IMO that midpipe section that connects to lower downpipe has to be around 0.5cm longer. 2) the upper downpipe design. Right where it connects to midpipe, there is a flange and there is an O2 sensor. And they are very close... The bolts that were included fitted but they are way too long... OEM solution has a welded bolt there and it makes much more sense. As there is very little room its really hard to tighten the bolt. Welded bolts would imo make the install way easier 3) the bolts that were included are with much smaller diameter than flange holes. Why? You need to be very careful not to bend nor position incorrectly. Just send bigger bolts 😃 Currently downpipes installed, midpipe installed and last section will be done after Christmas. MAD, thanks for help and for active discussion. Appreciate! And Merry Christmas and fingers crossed that the vclamp holds 😃 |

I just sent an email but am also replying here in case it is faster. I just tried installing my midpipe and am having this issue as well. The shop had 3 guys working together to reposition it and push it in for an hour but never got it flush or even aligned. The gasket spins freely and there’s a solid exhaust leak. This is pretty egregious since I pretty much can’t drive my car until this is fixed, I cut my oem midpipe for this, and am now out a decent amount of shop hours. Can we get it fixed quickly?
