Kill the rotary already. I don't care if is is a smooth engine, the only reason that Mazda persists with this is for historical reasons. These engines drink gas and oil, and to top it off are not very reliable. An RX-8 with the 2.3 turbo would be a far more potent animal than the current offering and give the platform an engine it deserves.

Interesting... it looks like they took some styling cues from the G37 (headlights, front fenders), and blended that with an R8 inspired front end. I'm not blown away by those pics, but it definitely looks like an improvement over the current RX-8. I'm just not crazy about rotary engines in general. They seem to have their fair share of problems and they piss through gas also. If i'm going to have a car with zero low end power, then it better be efficient.

Mazda's rotary engine was one of the best in it's time. It's turbo engine had loads of tuning potential! I hope they can make the FI rotary engine.

And do you guys remember which car vin diesel was driving in fast and the furious?

Anyway, I love the new design...it's futuristic

It looks alright.

From the side, the roof-line looks like a G35 to me.

Good objective, rational and open mind you have there, if only everyone was like you.
BTW I do drive a Mazda, does that make me biased? No I keep an open mind
