Is there any chance you could post an external video under load? Maybe launch control or driveby videos at different throttle positions?

Trying to decide between this and a catted DP... going for a quote on a setup like this next week

Sure, except I'm not using launch control until the car has been broken in.

Since I have a catted DP, the drone from 2-3k has been rather bothersome for myself and my passengers. I'm just about getting to the point where I'm going to take a loss and swap the whole thing out with an aftermarket catback.

Just something to keep in mind for those of you that are running an aftermarket downpipe and considering this setup. The tone is excellent but the drone that it comes with isn't just normal exhaust sound in the cabin, it's this booming low frequency resonance that is pretty hard to tolerate for long periods of time.
Looks sweet! 👍

I have over 1,100 miles on the car and still haven't floored it. Not because of a break-in or anything like that, just haven't felt the need. It's so fast at just 1/2 - 3/4 throttle!

Indeed! It's fun just at part throttle, especially with the exhaust mods.

I definitely think you guys need to try launch control at least once, when you're comfortable with how broken in the car is.

Agreed though, part throttle acceleration still surprises me after 12000KM!

Almost every time I'm out & about I have the settings set for LC, but the opportunity just hasn't presented itself. Probably need to get out of town as most of the streets around here are 45 MPH at most. Driving in Sport Plus and the transmission set to Sport at 45 MPH with a tap of the throttle and 80 MPH comes way too quick!

That's an excellent idea.

Here's a look at what the resonators look like with the muffler delete

Just had my AA downpipe welded to the mid-pipe. Got rid of the small air leak; sounds much better.

I had my AA downpipe installed today too, and what a difference it makes! I made a video to show the change in sound with a muffler delete and downpipe. I am definitely going to need those resonators…

I couldn't agree more with you about the drone after removing the Muffler. My G42 is the American version with no OPF in the middle, I installed a VRSF catless downpipe, and the sound was perfect with no drone. Then, me wanting to save weight did a muffler delete, the result was a too noisy car with a very horrible drone around the 2k/3k rpm. Then I installed the dynomax 24250 race bullet resonators in the back hoping it would fix things... the noise and car tone got a lot better but the drone was still there, at the end, I just installed the muffler again. I know other guys where I live that are also using catless DP and have tried the same using bigger resonators/mufflers instead of the stock muffler, but the result has been the same drone.

Does muffler delete raise any codes?

Nope, no codes. The muffler is cut off after the valve, so the car doesn't realize there is anything different. I also know some people unplug the fuse for the valve, so I don't think that should matter anyway.

The 2 issues I have with the muffler delete is the obnoxious cold start and drone in the cabin at 2,500 - 3,000 rpm. Like Bimmer Bill, I had resonators installed which helped but did not fully eliminate the drone.

After or before the valve? I thought you could cut off the muffler before the valve in the exhaust and keep that functionality.

I am thinking about it front to back, so after meaning towards the rear of the car maintaining the valve on the exhaust.
