Damn. You guys are buying $2,000 car lifts? That's a lot of oil changes to break even.

You're missing the value proposition entirely.

Feeling unsafe working under a car sucks and these take away 99% of that stress while being super fast & convenient to use.

I’m also considering them. But mostly because I’ve struggled to find a definitive answer if there are center jackpoints on the G87.

Been searching and trying to find photos. Looks like G42 has a front center jackpoint that’s marked, but only (unofficially) the diff for the rear center jack point. Looking at G87 underbody photos, looks like no marked front center jackpoint. And diff is all fins. Unless there is something I’m missing.

Do you have the source for that?

From everything I’ve read, some say what you say, and a few reference older BLW owners manuals. But some say the diff shouldn’t be used, and note center jack points have not been called out in any recent owners manual.

Rear diff lift point is under the centre of the diff body using a pad such that if there is a rear cover it isn’t put under any load.

Got the 6000ELX running tonight. So nice.

It's a tight fit so be sure to verify you have clearance between the frame and tire after you have lifted and before you remove the wheels. Almost got myself in a pickle where I couldn't get one of the wheels back on because the frame was touching the tire.

Can you guys elaborate on the AMEX/Costco angle? Not tracking or finding anything to connect the dots.

I think it was probably a labor day deal, but was able to buy HD gift cards using Amex pts at a very favorable rate. It was 85,000 pts for a $1k gift card when it's usually 100,000 pts or more. You can shop the gifts cards in your Amex account under Rewards and Benefits.

Thread revival - sorry. Has anyone confirmed the 5000TL frame extensions work on a factory suspension G87?

They are very very good and use on my G87 to X5s, and G80s and more

Will this work on a lowered g87 ? I have roughly 4 inches and change of ground clearance.

So you use lifting blocks along with the rails.. you might be too low, but check their website and dimension chart to make sure.

This is good news….
Hey DCC (or anyone else for that matter), have you tried the extensions and did they work? Their max is 66", but according to my math, that would not be long enough for the blocks to sit flush with the G87's lift points. Looks like we would need about 68"-69" for that.

I ask because I was planning on swapping my 5000SLX for a 6000, but just realized that the 6000 is too long for my e92, and if I get TWO quicklifts my wife will divorce me lol.

The outside edge to edge of the car's jack pad is 68.5"
The quick jack extension has a max distance of 66"

So one will have 1.25" of overhang in the front and rear not supported.
I think that is fine but you have to decide if that is ok for you.

Hope this helps

One of the most important parts of good DIY work are your tools. Now several years ago my good friend Peter showed me the Quickjack he was using... I was immediately impressed and ordered one!

The 6000 ELX is now the ultimate version, for me, in my garage and my third set of this incredible tool. Each time has been an upgrade to suite my needs, and now the ELX will fit every car possible from my G87 M2 through the latest G80s and more.

I cannot recommend these more highly and you will wonder like me how you lived without one.

Thanks for the pics and also nice work on the ball bearing rollers to make moving these around easier. Just wanted to point that out in case anyone missed that.

Thanks, yes the ball bearing rollers work great. Makes it much easier to position the Quickjack.
