I ordered a manual Grigio Telesto M2 with a carbon fiber roof in July and just got the VIN and notice that it is in production. Hoping to get it in Phoenix in 8 - 10 weeks.

Fellow Arizonan!
Pretty much same exact timeline as me for my Java. My guy was saying roughly 6 weeks but that seems a bit too ambitious.
I'm guessing sometime late February we'll get our cars.

Bummer. CA told me December production, but just found out it is week 01/2025. Definitely in the tax danger zone now.

My M2 is finally in transit as of 12/6! BMW Genius is closed on the weekend so I can't get details.

Anyone know what the shipping time is going to the west coast, specifically southern california? What's the outgoing port and the incoming port? Hopefully it doesn't have to go all the way down to the Panama canal.

Am I the only one who didn't realize that the Carbon Package was no longer necessary to get the buckets?

Also, has anyone who ordered a special color accepted after 10/15 received a build date yet?

I realized it after I initially spec'd my car and had my CA change the build to remove the Carbon Package and add back the Carbon seats, roof, and trim. I have no need for the M Driver's Package. Tuning removed the top speed limiter anyway. Good deal!

I saw a video and it mentioned it. Just saw it today. Two months two late unfortunately.
Could have saved $2000 which is the price of a tune lol

depends upon when the dealer's allocation is.

putting a deposit down is not an order. it is just getting on the dealers waiting list for an allocation. the question you need to ask the dealer is when they will be getting an allocation for you.

when dealer has a allocation available (which could be hours or months), the order goes in,it is for a specific production week associated with that allocation. you get a production number as soon as the order is received by BMW.

the dealer told me they had an allocation, so i placed the order and got the email from bmwusa saying that the order was received. was wondering how long it would be until i’ll get a spot in the production schedule.

The allocations are for a specific production week. The dealer should be able to tell you the week you got.

That depends on color, options and how many they are building already.

It looks like it's only a few days! Our cars might be on the same ship (Capricornus Leader) that departed Port Lazaro Cardenas (west coast of Mexico) on Friday and should be arriving at Port Hueneme (Oxnard area) tomorrow. No need to pass through the Panama Canal for ours.

My car has been in “Ready to Transport” since 11/23.

I talked with my guy at the dealership and he said that it is just telling him that it’s in Transit to the port of exit.

I hope it gets on a ship in the next week, heading to Brunswick.

Original schedule for delivery when I put down the deposit was February but he now thinks it could be late December or early Jan.

Anyone else stuck here aswell?

Yup! I just got off the phone with BMW Genius line. We're on the same ship. It's currently off the coast of Encinitas.

Schedule to arrive tonight, and I'm scheduled to take delivery next week!

Looks like we are now scheduled for a carrier to depart 12/12 heading to PCD. Genius said it can take as long as one week from this Thursday to arrive in SC…

I saw mine changed to at the port today, I texted my CA and he says "I called my contact and they said they will be making a date offer in the next 24-48hrs! "
So that's nice at least. Hopefully no more unknowns

Genius tells me I'm scheduled for week 7 2025. My CA told me that what genius told me is more of a deadline, not a start date. Is this true?

My CA also told me that it takes roughly 13 to 21 days for the car to arrive to the dealership in NJ from Mexico. Is this also true?

Are you in east coast?

Mine flipped to Ready for transport on Dec 3rd and has not been changed since then.

I talked to BMW genius today and they told me that the status Ready for transport is meaning it is on the way to the exit port. And they also confimed that my car has been departed the factory in Mexico.

Hope to see any changes on the status very soon.

Yea, should be going to the Daytona Beach dealership. Anyone know when the next ship is picking up for Brunswick?
