I am not in Cali, but that is what I do. Just keep it in the trunk with a bracket. In Vermont both plate and tint are not something you can get pulled over for, but are something they will add to the ticket if you get pulled over for speeding or similar.

Alright. So I went with slybrackets. I like the fit and look very much. To me it’s better than the tow hook mount. It’s in intrusive and easy to install. Let me know what you guys think

I agree it is better than a tow hook but think it looks significantly better plateless. If you have to run one can’t do better… but just don’t run one!

I installed a tow hook mounted plate holder from "rho-plate". Pretty solid construction and weights 0.5lbs (without the plate). It also doesn't obstruct lower radiator openings.
