So once again, if all that matters is performance and you don't care how the car is broken in or driven, you might be correct. A 718 is a reasonable comparison and new it's significantly more than an M2 and the same value proposition applies to a 718 4.0. If the M2 doesn't make sense at $80k; I'd argue the 718 4.0 doesn't make sense at $110k when configured.

For the average street driver, it's not going to matter. You need to live on a low traffic mountain road or raodcourse to exploit what these cars can do - sadly most never see anywhere near 9/10s and it's more or less street profiling Z06 is the better value in the 100k range imo - 600 rwhp on a dyno and very close to GT3 numbers on a roadcourse |
