Correct, you win!

The Z4 and M2 are the only two models that do not offer 360 cameras as an option. Every other model in BMWs lineup including every other M car and even the entry level 228 Gran Coupe and 230i Coupe do.

I really don't understand the relevance of comparing it to all the other cars.

How many other cars have 473hp from BMW, cost $65k and have the S58?

The difference between an M4 and M2 is literally everything they don't allow as options.

People that want an M2 with a front facing camera can buy an M4. Effectively the same car. Yeah, I know the wheelbase is longer, but if a 360 camera is a deal breaker on an M2, then maybe buy an M4.

And for that 99k, that's a barebones car, Porsche is infamous for gouging on all of their options, heck just adding an electrically adjustable seat is like 3k, which is standard on the M2.
In my location, m2cs(f87) sells within a similar price as cayman gts, in 2020, the m2cs even more expensive(about 10k usd).
Of course G87 is much powerful, but porsche always gets lighter weight and better gearbox.

I drove my wife's X3MC with 360 cameras this morning. After giving her a hard time about why she always parks so close to my M2 (and so far away from the other side) in our garage, I understand why. When backing into our garage it appears on the screen that you're going to hit the frame of the garage door when, in fact, there is at least 6 inches or more between the side mirror & the frame. Whereas when using the side mirror, you can get much closer & leave more space between cars.

I'll stick to using the mirrors

You just over-pay for the G87 in China at around 600k yuan, equating to CAD$120K. On the road pricing of our G87 in Canada was CAD$86K. The Porsche pricing in both countries is more comparable.

It does seem that the North American markets get the G87 at a much better price than many other places. In NA the G87 is an absolute bargain.

On the other hand, the US doesn't get the slicktop as an option.

I think the price is higher due to national tax rules, VAT and such.

In the US, there is no national tax and it is up to the state where people live.

I'm in California and whatever the MSRP is on the car I expect to pay about 12% on top of that for the car to hit the road.
