I can adjust the seats (heated or cooled) in my wife's X3MC without taking my eyes off the road. Same with the temp (up or down) and fan speed because I know where those buttons are. And like I mentioned above, if my climate is set to auto I cannot manually activate the seats if the car decides it's not cold enough unless I turn off the auto program (have to look at the screen to make sure I touch the slider in the exact right spot) then hit the seat control which also requires looking at the screen. Re: the voice controls, I'm not that old but there's just something about driving in the car and saying "hey bmw do xyz" that is just idiotic to me. Same as having Alexa or google controls in one's house or saying "hey siri" on the cell phone. To me it's just stupid. Oh and yes "get off my lawn" while we're at it |

Believe me, I'm not that old and I also hate voice commands.
I press the button on the wheel and say my command, it shortens the phrase. For oil temp you are saving like 3 clicks to get into the vehicle monitor shortcut. Its just been better than messing with the screen while driving for me, so maybe check it out!

Got stuck in 45 min of bumper-to-bumper traffic after 3.5 hours of driving and had the ACC on. 1. Noticed when it brings the car down to 0 mph for more than ~5 seconds, you need to press the gas pedal to make it go again. 2. Became nauseous with its constant speed up/slam on the brakes behavior. This was with the distance set at close. Set at medium there was just too much space & cars kept darting in. Had to turn it off.

It was really accelerating & slamming on the brakes, worse than my 15 yr old with his learning permit. As I mentioned in a previous post, when I accelerate to try to close the gap it feels as if the car is still applying the brakes. To be fair, a "gap" between cars in TX is about 1/3 car length & Bobby Joe with his Silverado thinks he's gettin in there.

The ACC on our VW was the same way. I got used to easing off the throttle. If you lift completely the car will brake. I’m wondering if brake in comfort mode would make it smoother?

For a while I was behind this new 911 & I could see the driver looking up in the mirror every time my car accelerated and slammed on the brakes behind him. He was, I'm sure, wondering what the heck I was doing. It would wait to brake (on the closest setting) until it would flash the red warning alert on the cluster/HUD. It just wasn't working very smoothly at all in that type of traffic. |

Every command I try with my 23, the car will think for a good 10-15 seconds and 95% of the time ask me to repeat. Then I enunciate like a crazy man, car thinks for another 10-15 seconds and then (usually) does the thing I asked. |

Ditto, it’s a few seconds at the most where the system is thinking. I’m on 8.5 as well.

I full year had passed on my G82 when I discovered this.

The steering in COMFORT mode is much lighter than my G82's COMFORT mode. I actually think this is a good thing though.
I NEVER used SPORT steering in my F80 M3, F80 M3 CS, and G82 M4 because it felt so overly stiff and un-natural, even on the track! In the G87 however, I can finally use SPORT steering and feel like I'm taking advantage of the "sporty" setting. I also discovered that I prefer skinnier steering wheels, as I am having the same slight discomfort with the G87 wheel as I did with the equally thick F80 M3 CS steering wheel after more than an hour of driving. A small discomfort, but noteworthy.
