Like you, mine jumped from RFT (since 11/15) to In Transit this morning as well. Just got off w Genius rep and, like berk35, my G87 is on the Grand Champion scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on 12/16

I will hold out hope for you. My G87 was on the ship since sunday so you could be on a ship and it not have flipped just yet.

I second this. You won’t know if you’re on the ship yet if you are getting loaded in Altamira right now for example. From what I’ve read you will see it update a couple of days into the trip, or an hour after it has set sail. (I think its still moored in Altamira)

Sculpin any updates on your end? called genius just now and was told i’m on a truck set to leave on Thursday. Waiting to load other cars. Yours should be through the VPC by now

I suspect I will be there for at least a week. I'm having the MP HAS, carbon front intakes, and MP center console lid installed. Then it's going to the Performance Center so I'll need to be scheduled for that. I'm still optimistic about a pre-January delivery though.

Congrats to everyone that is now on a ship or getting on a ship!!! Won't be long until all of us are in our cars.

i would have loved to do performance center delivery but getting someone to watch my place and dogs would have been a pain for me.

I really do hope that everyone here in this thread is getting their cars on this round. I need to reserve my license place lol

Are you a BMWCCA member? They have club plates in VA. When I lived in MD and had my M3 I was able to get club plate number 0920 which was perfect because I took delivery on 9/20. It's up on the wall in the garage now.

Here in FL I had S65 ZCP on the M3 which is now also on the wall in the garage. As soon as I have a date for delivery I'll schedule an appointment to order a new plate for the M2.

Mine is also showing truck on the 30th
But won’t make it down here till the 2nd which I find strange since it a 5 hr trip wonder if they stop at multiple dealers along the way

Even though I feel BMW of Tampa should have plenty of cars to fill a whole car carrier

I didn’t get an estimated delivery date but from Brunswick to my dealer it’s a 6 hour drive. In another forum it sounds like the ports are catching up on a backlog of cars. My CA hasn’t given me an estimated delivery date, just said a few days ago it would be there “in the next week or two.” I think it’s safe to say 1-2 days would be reasonable if they make other stops. The dealer probably likes to have their space to do PDI stuff without us showing up to the lots, too

if your port is Brunswick the ETA for the grand champion is on 12/03. they seem to hang around port for 24/48 hours then move on to the next. Its about 3 days to Baltimore. It looks like the grand champion may leave Altamira today or tomorrow.

Also on the grand champion. Been waiting since October of last year and this is the second M2 I've been tracking (first one arrived without the carbon roof which I had optioned). Will be so worth it when it arrives how I had ordered it.

Just received this message from BMW Genius:

"Our records indicate your BMW is currently on the "Grand Champion," which is estimated to arrive in the U.S. on 12/19/2023. Please note, this date is an estimate and subject to change."

I will be taking delivery in Long Island NY, so hopefully the ship will actually get here a lot quicker than this estimate. They must be managing expectations.

The good news is I am confirmed on the Grand Champion!

I'm not sure if it's the reason, but when I called BMW Genius they did tell me that the trucks sometimes wait until they have a full load before taking off. They may just provide that wiggle room in delivery date in case they're expecting more cars

Just got off the phone with the sales rep, apparently, All Toronto bound cars from Mexico are transported by rail, that's why I didn't see `At the Port` status, it went directly to `In Transit`, he told me the delivery would be around 21st-23rd December, car is due to be delivered at a car collection centre by 20th Dec

Oh i am checking every hour to see if it changes destination port lol going NUTS over this.

Is it safe to say i am nervous and yet scared? Honestly This is the first RWD car i have ever had or driven, and is also the post powerful car i have driven. Thats the stuff that makes me a little nervous but 10000000% excited.

Scared because of what im doin to make it happen lol but thats just life and we only got one of em to live to our best so full send?
