The Straight Pipes 2025 M2 Review

Just curious. I have an M2 on order. Is the suspension really that rough in comfort mode the way they portray it in this review? Pretty sure the clutch was thrashed on, even they say that, but curious about the suspension.

I havent hated every straight pipes review I have watched, but this one was terrible. I dont even own an M2 and I know more about the car than these guys.

Also, crazy that they gave them the review car with a broken clutch pedal.

I have a 25. The suspension is stiff but well dampened. Significantly better than my Integra type S I traded in for this. So for me it feels plush

Watched this a few days ago and couldn't help but wonder if the car was on still on shipping blocks. They drove the '23 M2 and literally said in the review the suspension was 'fantastic'.

Interesting. Is that something that is obvious when I pick up my car? Is it like a block attached to the suspension that will look out of place?

Tell them to put the shipping pucks in your glovebox. If they aren’t in there, make them show you they’re out on a lift

I love how he shifted like a prepubescent boy and blamed the shifter. Stop limp-wristing that thing and drive it like a big boy. Anyone who complains about the gearbox in this car is a door knob.

Looks like the standard ride height. These guys often get there test drive vehicles from BMW Canada so the car definitely wouldn’t still have the shipping blocks.Thats why they are always on the same rural roads up in Richmond Hill which is just north of Toronto. Its where BMW Canada is located. They are just terrible reviewers.

Nope. I ordered a manual.

I'll swap out the mounts and get an short shifter with a weighted selection rod.

Can't be any worse than my E30 and E36.

The G87 manual’s a shit manual.

It’s tough having good MTs then going to this one.

But don’t take my word for it.

The car is epic. I have it in manual with MPHAS. Shifting feel, power, suspension is all incredible.

the manual in that car is broken period. the manual is perfectly fine, its not a porsche manual but its perfectly fine. They have no idea what they are talking about with the suspension, its a plush ride. i think the car they were given was probably beaten on heavily before they got it

The suspension on my 25 LCI M2 is almost indistinguishable from my 22 G82 xDrive - possibly marginally stiffer.

These guys are morons.

I feel like there was something wrong with this press car. The clutch was definitely messed up.

Not necessarily true. Matt from smoking tire just had a new automatic corolla GR from Toyota and used it to plan a route for road and track and he couldn’t figure out how the suspension was so much worse from the year before he reviewed. once Toyota got the car back he informed them of this, they couldn’t explain it, come to find out they had only removed 3 of the shopping blocks. everyone can make mistake.

I have always disliked these guys. All they did is burnouts and jokes. I only watched because it was Twilight Purple.

I roll around in all Sport+ all the time. I get fatigued with rough suspension pretty quick in cars. What does that tell you?
The suspension in the G87 is NOT rough. I even have the rougher CSL flash and I’m fine on the highest settings. I don’t even find it “busy” as they put it.
I’ve had rough and the G87 ain’t it.
