Steering wheel turning dead spot
Hey y'all kinda weird one for you recently I just noticed like a quarter turn into the steering wheel there is a random almost"dead" spot where it just stops and is hard to turn through and if you continue then it stumbles through it and then continues like normal does it on both sides anyone have any idea what it might be or ever had this happen? Car is a 2014 335i awd ewg if that matter thanks guys for any advice or help.

Mine didn't have an extreme dead spot like you are describing. But before I changed mine my steering felt a bit inconsistent between light and heavy feel. Now it feels the same across the range of motion, so I could see it developing into a more extreme case like yours. Either way if it fails the clunk test, you'll be fixing that. https://www.bimmerworld.com/Suspensi...MaAjVhEALw_wcB |

I think it took about and hour or so.... most of that time was spent trying to compress the little spring in and thread the cap properly. It has tension so it wants to pop itself back out. I think I got annoyed with it not threading a couple times, had a beer, came back and it went right on. |
