Mine too! “At the port” must be setup to show anytime it’s at a port (departing or arriving).

At the risk of going through pages of content in this thread, can anyone share how long you were in Ready for transport? Genius confirmed my vehicle is in transit from the factory to the port. He is guessing it is by rail but could not confirm the port yet.

Genius also said it could take up to a month to get to the port which sounds crazy! Anyone experience a wait time this long? Or could anyone confirm if the Mexico plan is now utilizing rail to move their vehicles? I know they started using transporting using trucks..

It depands on the vessel time . Like my car , stucks in Ready for transport over a week . The day after the vessel left my garage shows in transit all in sudden .

3 weeks until at the port waiting for carrier assignment? Or did you jump to In Transit on the boat similar to oncity above?

Mine skipped the "At The Port" initially; it went straight to "In Transit" from Mexico. Once it reached the Port (West Coast US), it reverted backwards on the timeline to "At the Port" which probably will go back to "In Transit" again, but this time to the dealership. So if the car arrives next week to me, it would be about a months time from the car was completed.

It was about a week and a half for me to go from "Ready for Transport" to "In Transit". Waiting a month makes sense, although it would be unlucky. It all depends on how often the ship comes around to pick the cars up. If your car is completed right after the ship leaves port, then you'll be waiting longer.

Took delivery last Wednesday and this car has been a dream. Sadly it's rained nearly every day in NY so no good pics yet. The front of this car is soooo long, so excuse the bad parking in this one—it's tough to judge. 😜

Thanks to everyone for the knowledge and tips over the past few months. Looking forward to sticking around!

I know it's somewhat anecdotal, but what's a current ballpark of receiving the car after being placed in "ready for transport" as of today? I'm in Michigan.

For me it was like 23 days to reach the dealer from "ready for transport" (Brunswick).

Vesselfinder won't update for me. Still shows Grand C is down by Boca Rotan.

If that's the case, then it's probably coming in late on 10/21. It's about a day and a half of travel, and it hasn't left yet.

I'm in Pittsburgh. My dealer said it's a couple more days after it makes it to port. He said there was a good chance I'd take delivery by the end of the month.

I’m pretty sure ready for transport just means it’s left the factory. There’s no updates until it’s on a ship, and you just missed a ship leaving. The same thing happened to me- I just missed the boat and was in ready for transport for a month. Based on the last couple boats it seems like they’re doing a shipment to the east coast ~monthly. I think MI gets deliveries from Baltimore. Then it’ll probably be a couple weeks for the car to reach your dealer. You’re probably looking at around a month and a half.

Does anyone know if BMW offloads any vehicles at Brunswick? Or do they not have a BMW holding facility there? Also I would assume the car would come by train hauler to Omaha...since so far. My first sports car...so I am getting a bit excited. Ordered on April 4th. Only my 3rd new car of my life. I wander what to expect going from my 2014 Nissan Sentra to this M240i? I did test drive a M340i at dealer before placing order, so had some experience of it's spirited nature.

I'm in the CLE area and that is really optimistic! I personally said to myself if it is here before end of November i'll be happy. Unfortunately switching right to a set of 791/2/3/4's with some Nokian Hakkepelita R3 tires. But i'll be able to get the 893's coated over winter and be fresh for the springtime.
