Are there any suspension mods to make the g87 more comfortable to use the car more a grand tourer?

What are you looking for, comfort wise? I find it quite comfortable to drive, as is (I have port installed M Performance Suspension so if anything mine is a tad tighter).

Softer springs and shocks valved to suit the springs will give the car a softer ride.

Still have those large wheels/stiff tires to deal with though. Smaller diameter wheels and fitted with tires with more sidewall is the way to go but you will be limited to wheels that can clear the brake hardware (calipers).

If the seat comfort is not to your liking then finding more comfortable seats is next on your list.

Not to pile on but I think rather than modifying the M2 you would be better off finding a car that offers GT like ride/comfort as it comes of the factory and add that car to your garage.

I was going to suggest one-size up in tires if the wheel width can support it. Messes with handling though so not necessarily recommended. However, some cars do okay when going up or down a tires size.

The OEM 824M 18" front / 19" rear wheels were fitted on the G80 M3 in some markets, so will fit the G87 M2.

Could
285-35/19 and 295-30/20 fit the OEM wheels? There are fewer options in these sizes and they are more expensive, but would give a bit more sidewall.

If the OP is looking for a more touring ride, changing tires/rims will not help. Its the suspension of the M2 itself which is tge "problem" (if you want to call it that). Keep in mind the G42 M240 has similar rims and tires (19" squared) and much differet (read "softer") ride.

I disagree. Changing tires from 35/30 aspect ratio to 40/35 will make a big difference in comfort. Also ditch the summers and go conti DWS.
Square 40 aspect ratio even more so.

There currently isn't a aftermarket or BMW derived suspension modification to make the car ride softer. And nobody has changed the suspension on this sports car for a softer ride yet, the car does come with adaptive dampers which I think make it ride really well but that's just my opinion.
The only option outside of softer springs (which again, there aren't any, maybe components from the 230i/240i & since nobody has done the swap, can and most likely will adversely affect the characteristics of the car), would be different wheels and tires. Perhaps smaller wheels with bigger (sidewall) tires.

At the end of the day, I don't think this is the car for you if comfort takes precedence over performance.

Have you driven a G87 yet? If not, you might be surprised. The adaptive suspension in comfort setting is pretty soft. Definitely too soft for my preferences.

I have both a 23 G42 M240 and a 23 G87...there are no comparisons whatsoever. The M240 is much more of a comfort ride compared to the G87 (I personally like the G87 better but that is why I git this car for me...M240 is for the wife).

I think a key factor that was missed is redoing the G87 suspension is an utter waate of time and money. Just buy the M240. You get power and comfort for less money (and car will be under warranty).
