Thank you KCuv for making this a worthwhile discussion & for painting the M2 in a more realistic unbiased light. I like when P car owners praise it for what it is. It's a super sexy coupe & wonderful machine. At it does all this for a price that's almost impossible to beat.

I just got my G87 and I’m still in the break in period, but I’m in love. It’s a phenomenal car. Admittedly it’s been I while since I sold my F87, but everything about this car feels tighter and more precise. Sure, Porsche will always be better, but this car is damn good. It will be interesting to see how much my 991 Touring gets driven now that it has a sporty stablemate.
You shouldn’t have any regrets picking the M2. It’s mostly FOMO. |

See that little guy on the end? (not the shitty CRV, that's the nanny's car)
The M2 is parked out there 'cause I drive it more...heh heh... One thing about the M2; at its price, it is the performance bargain of the century. |

+1 for cross-shopping different "classes" of vehicles. I was cross-shopping between a M2, 911 and Lotus. Oh and I previously owned a M2C and I still miss that car everyday.
Back to my cross-shopping...so the 911 itch has to be scratched, if you have that itch like myself. I have a Targa 4 GTS and it is an amazing car. I actually was not able to get a M2, but did get a Targa, go figure. For those of you that say only GT cars matter, well, I also have a GT3 and as much as I appreciate it. I do find myself lusting for M2. Why? ...because it is more usable for my specific use cases. It can go anywhere and do anything. I drove my GT3 on a few roadtrips and there were occasions I wished I had a M2 Take it from guy who has been there and done that, no need to justify a 911 is always the correct answer or the M2 does it all for a fraction of the price. We has car guys / gals appreciate cars for a wide varity of reasons. It is about the specific scenario that fits with each characteristic of a car. As for me, I will continue to enjoy my vehicles, but hoping to be back in the M2 family sooner rather than later.
