I’m starting to think BAT is not the best source for market pricing.

It’s just to inconsistent and basically any given day you could get a different price on a similar car.

100% agree. This listing is absolutely in line with, if not less than, many similar listings you see on cars.com, autotrader, cargurus, etc... I find this listing to be completely fair?

The buyer pool is going to be small for a niche car like the CS, which is going to give wild swings in price. Most of the audience of BaT is going to be enthusiasts, and I think the CS is not exotic enough to thrive on BaT.

The argument against BAT is that it suffers from the same problem all auctions do, getting the right eye balls on the product at the right time. It's the market price, but for a very specific point in time. The argument for BAT is that listing prices are not transaction prices. Sellers can agree all day long what they believe is market price, but it takes both a buyer and seller to set a market price. Where is the market price for a CS today? Likely somewhere in the noise in between.

there's a reason those cars are still listed on the websites you're talking about... they aren't selling at that price.

BAT is one of many ways to understand what the market for a car may be since price history is available. only one m2 CS, a manual with 1400 miles, has sold for 90k+ on BAT in the past year.

best of luck to the seller but i'm not sure there's going to be interest for a dct at this price.

Theres probably only 1 more similar spec DCT for sale less than the price I’m asking.

With bring a trailer there is also a 5% auction fee which adds a little more to true price. The right buyer in this market will pay more for what they want especially on a rare low production car. You will find out quickly if your price is right based off interest. Then adjust down if you aren’t getting enough action.

I believe this car is a Canadian spec CS. I believe the speedometer is also in kilometers if I'm not mistaken. Nice car.

Well it has the same VIN and appears to be the same car that was RNM last year on BaT, so it would appear to be a Canadian spec car that someone bought from the Ontario owner and imported it to the US after the auction last year.

Yes I bought it from the owner directly. US titled car already imported now. Digital odometer is in mi but the other part is still in KM up to 300 like ze Germans.
