RWD vs xDrive top end?
I'm in the market for a used M240i and I'm torn between the RWD or xDrive.
I understand the difference in off the line performance. When it comes to top end, wouldn't the RWD be quicker? Even if they both weighed the same? |

Since both will likely have the same speed limiter my money would remain on xdrive due to the launch grip. Once it’s out there it gets harder to reel back in

What Mcssis said about the speed limiter.
If no speed limiter RWD could have a higher top end speed due to less HP loss compared to the AWD version. But the difference in top speed between RWD and AWD vehicles would not be much. |

The two will go around a road course within a tenth of a second of each other. Decide less on fun and look at need. Need traction or do you want to do burnouts?

Would be a summer only car. Like the feel of true RWD. Little bit lighter and little bit cheaper. Not sure I need the xDrive.
