Did you have an port installed accessories? Going crazy waiting for this thing lol.
No port installed parts for me.

I'm not sure they are even available for the M240? I didnt get offered any options. Fine by me tho, I have most of the port installed choices sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.

There are a few lol. I had the CF wing and front splitter installed on my G42 M240i back in 2022 at the port. Could have had a matte CF interior trim set installed at the port, but I did that myself.

Enjoy your new ride!

Yes, I priced it out as well. The kit alone is $1700 to $1900. My son and I have done many lowering kits on Mustangs and Mazda MX-5s and I just wanted it done through BMW. Lazy or just getting old…lol.

Just an FYI on My BMW app. It still is showing “in Transit” although it was delivered to the dealership last night. I’m picking the car up next week, so I don’t think the dealership has done their inspection and taken the car out of transport mode.
Overall I think the My BMW causes more anxiety and stress. Heck, I can track a package from Europe and know it’s every move. Although transporting a car is more complex, but still the app has terrible delays.

I'm not looking forward to doing the springs, althought it seems easier on these cars than on some where you have to crush the spring.

Spring compressors freak me out... just knowing how much energy is in the spring.

The app is definitely a double edged sword. I’ve been checking it about 1500 times a day since Sept.

Car is going on a truck tonight and should be at the dealer tomorrow.

Sweet!!
Yes mine was delivered tonight as well. They will prep it tomorrow…but I was able to make 3 quick observations.
1. The M Sport Adjustable Suspension really makes the car look low. . 10mm drop makes a huge difference.
2. I have Yokohama tires.
3. The oil cooler had no extra protection covering it.

I will go first thing in the morning.
Have fun tomorrow seeing your “Ultimate Driving Machine”
Looks really nice! Much better in a darker color. When I had an M2 rental to test out to see if I'd want one, it was Alpine White. Picked up my M240i xDrive today in the same color as your M2... enjoy!!!

I'm purely speculating here and am in no means trying to get your hopes up by saying this but, the Glovis Sun is due to dock in Altamira on 11/17/24. I think that will be the ship for the next round of cars coming from the Mexico plant. Not sure what their turn around time is, though. Something to keep a watch on, I suppose.

Car is at my dealer - Appparently I have to wait for the title to show up to take delivery. So now I either get the car for the weekend or I just have to wait for monday and it will be agony.

Hoping for the best!

Final preps

I already posted the "exposed oil cooler" today on the thread devoted to that. I may be able to get the car as early as tonite. My order went in for the TMS skid plate, and I just ordered the mesh pieces from Amazon (see Ian's post on the "exposed oil cooler" thread (thanks Ian). The wheels look really nice. It came with the Michelins as advertised. The paint job was nicer than I expected.

Same for me hopefully. My car has been at the port since last Sat. It was put on a transport trailer on Wednesday! This wait is really starting to be torturous.

Very nice. I’m personally not a fan of that interior but it works really well with the midnight. Congrats!

Just to clarify this is the SECOND in transit so it is in fact on its way.
