I t is noticeable, but I understand the preference of what you want as well. The other thing that came into consideration is when Mischa drove an M2 that was lowered to much with the OEM dampers, it ruined the handling. The dampers weren't in their range anymore.

I was quoted $700 for install of springs and spacers not including alignment here in San Antonio.

They shouldn't even charge for the spacers. Was it local shop or the dealer?

installing HAS and doing an alignment at home just ain't that hard. basic tools and a jack. y'all should start working on your own cars. it is very rewarding.

Update, I have now gotten quotes from 4 more shops ranging from $650-$750 not including alignment. Seems high.
