We don't know how much he's asking and how much RB is willing to pay, one of them is unreasonable.

However what Sainz wants can't be too much more than what the broke Williams team can afford. So I'm putting the blame on RB.

When Sainz realized that he got a no pasarán from Mercedes and Red Bull for his demands and as there were some reserves regarding team orders loyalty, he had to look elsewhere for an available F1 seat. Pokered and lost. As the F1 driver's market is very tight with massive competition, he had to settle for the scraps: Williams. As the proverb goes: "beggars can't be choosers".

I don't think I've ever seen a driver hold an F1 team hostage like Perez. I thought Logan Sargeant had the most rope ever but this Perez guy is on a whole different level.

Curious how you think PER is holding RB hostage? Horner and Red Bull messed up when they negotiated and gave PER an extension in the summer thinking it would get better.

PER doesn't have to do anything - he knows his time is pretty much up at Red Bull and no one stays at a place of employment if they know they won't be well received so the question is how much is Red Bull going to give PER to buy out his contract? If any of us were in PER position, we'd all do the same thing - either you buy me out of my contract or I stay and do the job I signed up for regardless if it was going to be performed at the best of my abilities.

Red Bull screwed up - they seem to like jumping to decisions during the season instead of letting things play out like the whole Albon/Gasly situation.

In F1 money rules and the money coming in from Checo sponsors wins everytime however the others try to crash him out through jealousy and overall MAX is satisfied with the Checo situation.

What really surprised me is that the whole of the season and the seasons before, these kind of "first corner after the start" incidents where pretty much always classified as racing incidents. But all of a sudden, last race, penalties everywhere.

Anyway, last race, a bit dull. Some excitment on the double DRS zones, where overtaking in the first one could result in a counter overtake in the second. But overall not to much happened. Leclerc did well to stay out of the mess in the first round and gain a decent amount of places to land on the podium. Good drive from Hamilton also.

Now the waiting begins.....

Yikes that's in four days time, Ben is already asking for his drinks cabinet to be full before interacting with Christian and Max..should be fun
