Yesterday, I submitted an order for my M2 from the same dealer I purchased my F87 from. I was torn on color choice between Brooklyn Gray and Voodoo Blue but decided to go with gray to play it safe (my M2 was HS) and the $2,400 price difference made the decision easier.

Fast forward to today, my SA calls me and tells me they have another M2 just came off the truck (no PDI which is how I prefer to take delivery) in Voodoo Blue. Buyer backed out, ordered in July of last year.

Only changes from how I would’ve ordered it are, they didn’t option shadow line headlights, heated steering wheel (not a huge deal) and they opted for blue calipers not red. Would’ve really preferred red, but can always paint them.

My biggest concern in not initially choosing Voodoo was the added attention. I’m not one to alter my spec, but this was so close I couldn’t say no. Really pumped about getting the Voodoo now too.

My deal was already for 6% off and ended up getting over 7% on this one and can take delivery tomorrow. The base MSRP was also $600 less so the order must have been placed prior to the price increase.

Lucky! Most of the options missed are minimal, in my opinion though the shadowline headlights would have been nice.

For sure, especially with how cheap the option is. At least it has the adaptive lights, black wheels, carbon trim and importantly for me manual transmission. Makes no sense he didn’t option shadow line with the black wheel option.

Definitely happy with the price, great dealership to work with all around. Price doesn’t mean a lot to me if the spec is not what I want though. I could always retrofit the headlights to shadowline though if it bothers me.

That was my only request, I even had them save the blocks. They put them in the trunk haha.

I hope it doesn’t stand out in person, I think the only difference is the silver accent piece at the top of the headlight.

Thanks, already requested not to wash it or do anything besides remove the shipping blocks. They are leaving all the plastics on for me. I’ll be putting some scrap PPF on the car when I pick it up to protect from rock chips on the ride home too.

FYI your car was ordered by me last June for November delivery. I had a 24 M2. In October, November became January and I was less than happy with the dealership where I have bought many cars. I bought a 25 M4 comp instead from a different dealer and walked on this car when it came in.
My deal was 3k off you got a better deal than me and that ends my relationship with that dealership.

Damn, really sorry to hear that… who was your sales associate? I’ve been dealing with mine for years and have referred business their way because of how transparent he has always been. I know the individual color can be a crap shoot so you can’t blame the dealer, can’t go wrong with that M4.

You spec’d the M2 great, out of curiosity did you know about the shadowline option for $250 or did you just prefer the silver housing?

Side note: headed to pick up the car now and I just saw two brand new M2s on a truck, definitely another positive sign haha! One in Grigio Telesto and one in Zandvoort Blue.

I haven’t even seen a G87 in person yet until those lol…

My 24 white manual car has been sitting at the trade in dealer for 2 months. I like the M4 better- has the juice but more comfortable-
I have 8 cars so I could write reviews- 3 bmws- my favorite is a M8 vert.
My sales guy is Curt Stumbah who I have done a lot of biz withh but not more.
When I bought the M2 he spent 10 minutes going over car then I sat an hour waiting for them to take my $$. BS.
I am older so I have had so many bmws going back 1979,

I see you have a 350- have had a 500, 350 and 350r- now have a darkhorse which was the comparison for my M2. I do not keep cars long and they are mint when I sell them.

Nice, yeah I’ve been through a lot of cars as well, missed my M2C. I definitely wouldn’t hold it against the dealer, it only ended up being slightly more off than your order price. I’m sure they wanted to move it since it being the end of the month and you passing on it. They’re an honest dealer and the pricing can fluctuate depending on when you order.
