I’d be curious what you’d get if you called again and talked to a different rep. I only say that because the exact same thing happened to me. One woman swore that it was at the port. She said it was because she could see a date annotated. But there’s always a date annotated with the last status update. I called later the same day and got a different rep who told me the car was still sitting at the factory. Any time my status said anything about waiting carrier assignment, or carrier has been assigned, it was still sitting at the factory. Once it left the factory all the updates up to being in transit on a ship happened within 24 hours. It took just shy of 3 weeks sitting at the factory before the car moved to the port. And that was for a car going to the US East coast. May take longer based on what port of entry your car is going to.

From what I’ve seen I get the impression that they don’t move cars to the port until right before they’re going to get on a ship. Not based on anything other than a hunch. Also yes the Genius line is usually more up to date than the app, but with the status you’re in, if your app still hasn’t caught up to what Genius told you that may be a sign Genius gave you bad info. But even worst case, you beat the tariffs, so that’s a win. Good luck getting on a ship soon.

Individual colors are done in batches so all the paint from a drum is consumed. Unlike regular colors where they can easily consume a drum; individual is low volume. Also all "hanging parts" are done by hand. With regular colors "hanging parts" are done on the regular paint line

Darn, I'm hoping they come up with a solution quickly. Thanks for the info.

As others have mentioned, there is, in fact, a stop sale order on M2s for a recall.
B34-02-25 Brake expansion tank. Indefinite hold. Soooo close. Mine is stuck at the VPC in baltimore about an hour north of me. 4 months now since order. One delay after another. Last edited by M2M3M3; Today at 01:23 PM.. |

Just got assigned production week 18 today. April 28th to May 2nd (or May 4th if they work on Sat/Sun). As I understand it, if it's before May 1 I'm covered on the tariffs and if not, then who knows? Pray for me, fam.

I think yours and mine were built at roughly the same time, but mine doesn't seem to be held up. I've added this to my list of questions to ask my rep tomorrow...will report back what they say (probably with a grain of salt). |

Is your status "at the port"? That is where they are holding incoming cars. At the VPC. |

I see -- wondering if it's something they've already fixed on the line recently then? Mine was complete 2/20 (arrived at the dealership yesterday). Was only at the port for a few days including the weekend.
