You take a sick day due to a cough on Monday, and FitBit says you slept for 17:45, then you are back in bed at 9-ish.

I don't know why I'm putting this here... Maybe a few names came to mind.

My 4th grade teacher gave me a ride home once in her new Mustang. Looked like the ones in the pic above. It was my first time in a bucket seat.

Looks like about 9 for me. My 1st car was a '65 (actually a 64 1/2) Mustang, 225hp 289, 4bbl, 4spd. I regret ever selling it until I get in my subsequent cars with A/C, brakes, decent suspension, non heat generating vinyl seats, etc.

I was two years old when the Mustang came out. I was 2 1/2 years old when my uncle gave me my first brand new 1964 1/2 convertible Mustang in Candy Apple Red……pedal car!! And I drove it all over God’s green earth. I hold my uncle responsible for this affliction I have to this day!!!

I’ve posted this before, but it’s just too appropriate to this post not to share it again.

Get off our lawns, kid! I'm older than the Mustangs, but not as old as the 1950 Alco S3 locomotive pulling them.....

Yep, same here on both counts. As a matter of fact I bought my daughter a ‘66 Mustang with the 289 for her 17th birthday. She had her 43rd birthday last March.

My neighbor bought a '65 Mustang a couple of years ago. It did not have power steering or brakes. He said, "do you want to drive it?". I said sure. It was that moment when I realized just how far cars have come since those days. They say they don't build them like they used to. Thank goodness!

I was around for both the Mustang and the 1950 Alco S3. But, I don't identify as old.

I remember in 1976 when the small town in New Mexico that I lived in got a McDonald.

Ronald McDonald, the Hamburgerler and the other McDonald’s characters were there for the grand opening. Even made the local news.

17.

Notice the missing wheel covers. Probably stowed in the trunk.

My dad and I snuck onto the Ford dealer's lot to see the brand new "1964-1/2" Mustang they had hidden at the back. It was cool. I was about to turn 11 years of age.

The very first Mustang sold in the United States was here in Chicagoland a couple of days before it was officially launched in public. The salesman broke the rules and showed the car on the back lot before the public was supposed to see it. It is still owned by the original owner whose husband restored it back to original condition several years ago.
