kubax86, I really enjoyed working with you to do some coding on my old F87 CS. Glad to see you plugging away on the new platform!

Yesterday I picked up a ‘26 M2 6MT and originally planned to do the full Femto unlock for custom tuning, once I was through the break-in period. However, my goal is simply to get it to CS power levels (ie. ~530hp and ~480ft-lb). At first look, your solution appears to me much more appealing than the FEMTO method.

However, after some further reading, if I’m understanding correctly… on the LCI manual’s, CS DME tune will leave the TQ figures around stock non-CS levels (~405ft-lb) and bump HP from 480 to 500.

Am I understanding that correctly?

That’s correct—manuals don’t receive the full power and torque of the CS. The upgrade is still worthwhile, but it’s not as significant as it is for automatic cars.

I appreciate the transparency. Thanks for clarifying!

Definitely considering this, even as a 6MT owner. Going through break-in at the moment, then going to put in MAD intakes and AST HAS. Assuming that goes without issue, think I'll pull the trigger on the CS flash.

As a side note, I can't believe how much a 2nd class citizen the manual is. Not a dig at those doing these tuning, but a dig at BMW. The clutch can barely handle the stock torque. No digital key for manuals for some weird reason?

Howdy bub! Now that the flash works with the recent remote software update, I am assuming I should do that update before coming to you for the coding? I turned my remote software update on & I see it there, but I haven't installed it yet.

I am looking to do CSL engine map, steering & suspension. Just so you know everything I want to do before I do the software update.

By the way, I just ordered the packages for my car.

The manual was clearly just thrown in to appease people. The car was never designed really with it in mind. Digital key is probably tied into remote engine start and they’re just too lazy to edit the system to work without the auto transmission.

Thanks for your order. You can do your update before but it’s not really necessary since there’s no major change.
