Just called genius and they cant tell me why Altamira, MX is listed and the guy i spoke to was confused as to why it was on that ship so this is a little frusterating... shes now underway heading back to MX..

its still on schedule for brunswick on the 13th and baltimore on the 16th... if someone else wants to call and see if they can get different info that would be cool

I just called as well and the rep was very confused. I texted my guy at the dealership as well and hasn't seen this before. I am sure this will cause delays with delivery.

My dealer just told me that he got news from distributor that mine would be here by the end of the year. Maybe it’s coming back to pick up mine lol. But more likely it’s just a mistake

I can’t find the Grand Champion scheduled to arrive when I check Altamira’s schedule. Has anyone seen it on their outlook?

the only other thing i can thing of is its going back to altamira to pick up a few more, or its to adjust shipping lane. looking at the map to go around FL it cant just go around the coast it has to go a ways out into the gulf then head south and around FL and then up the coast line.

Sooo AlexC2er you may not be wrong if it needs to pick up a few more cars.. and also did they tell you if you had a ship? this will be interesting to see where it ends up on the 6th. fingers crossed you are with us on the grand champion

Called them again.. No more updates they even said its weird that the ship went to Tampa in the first place.

If there is a problem with the ship all of our cars are going to be delayed... so at this point im mentally preparing because why not 12/14 will mark 13 months of waiting for a Base M car...

Honestly don't know how you are holding on for this long, waiting for a 330i M Sport is killing me, and I only placed this order in Late September. I decided for the first time I am going to order a car EXACTLY the way I want down to every detail instead of picking the lame ass crap they have on the lot. I know I did the right thing but this waiting is a BITCH!!!

Also, after being in RFT for 5 weeks I was looking forward to seeing this ship slowly but surely make its way to NY. I really feel like this is a nightmare heading back to Mexico. Give me a f'ing break!!

Once you have your car you won't care anymore. A few years from now, you won't look back and regret not getting another car a month or so earlier. Your car might even mean that much more to you because you ordered it and you went on this adventure to get it. It's really hard right now, no doubt, but on a long timeline a month is nothing.

I went through something similar with my M3 but I don't remember the details that well. I had the car for 12 amazing years and 95,000 of the best miles of my life. Whatever delays I went through were only a tiny fraction of the time I actually had the car and it was totally worth it.

I’m honestly not sure. Genius just responded to me few hours ago with same status as a week ago waiting to be assigned at a vessel. Idk where my dealer got the information. He said he got it from a distributor. He didn’t tell me what ship it was on. I’ll ask him tomorrow. I don’t really know what that means. I’m hoping he’s right and you’re right. Fingers crossed.

This! I read other forums saying the wait is worth it and trust me- it’s very worth it. Also, I know you’re at the port still but I think we got lucky getting on the cougar because everything beyond us seems to be an up in the air type of situation. I’d say give your CA or Genius a ring. They usually have more info since the car is now in BMWNA possession

Good morning, yea shes about smack dab i the middle of the gulf RN. SHould be back in MX by tomorrow, i think she will stay anchored/moored for about 2-3 days i would think to make it to Brunswick on the 13th. then would have to leave the same day or next morning to get to Baltimore on the 16th
