[QUOTE=JoseSportM;30120648]Just need to receive the screws I ordered from bmw and that’s it
I really wanted to do this “mod ” as well. Just didn’t know what to look up. Amazing job on adding the storage box. Did you find the cutting template or is that your own design? |

I didn’t find any source reliable to do it since there was no scale or perfect fit. I can create a template and share it with you guys. I will do a PDF and you just have to print it without any scale, print as it is. I did it tight to avoid major movements but since we will have 3 screws it will be an OEM fitment. I was going to try and create a template based on your pictures. but if you have a file you can upload, that’ll save me a step. |

Got my new wheels installed! Went with Apex VS5-RS 19x9 up front and 19x10 in the rear. Tires are 245/40 up front and 275/35 in the rear. These tires have some good meat to them, I think it looks fantastic.
Unfortunately the shop damaged one of the wheels. I drove the car less than 2 miles home and it's the driver side so there is no way that happened on my way home. I didn't notice it at the shop because the wheels were covered in lubricant. Not sure how to proceed here. |

I’d be sick about the wheel. Realistically you could add some touch up paint and probably only notice it when you clean the wheel, but I’d go talk to the shop and see if they’ll cover a professional repair or replacement. Perfect example of why I never leave without inspecting all wheels (Discount Tire), and even ask for their most seasoned installer to avoid issues like this. I learned this the hard way when I had an STi and they used a wire brush on a drill to clean the hub (which didn’t need cleaning). They made at least one pass with the spinning wire brush across each of my Brembo calipers. |

First Impressions... Disappointed. The Side Winglets are solid ABS, which is Great! That's what I was hoping for, not a hollow underside. But the Paint finish is subpar. This could be corrected with some sanding, and repainting. Still, it shouldn't have left with these bad finishes on them. Also, no predrilled holes, which I was aware of. that's how they are in the pictures. Without the car to mate them up to, I'm not sure how the fit will be. The Front Splitter is even worse. The Winglets for the Left & Right sides of the splitter are NOT solid, and Hollow, which is warping the parts. I work in the plastics industry, and the ejector pin marks (Circles on the underside) have "sink", which makes them extremely visible to the naked eye on the painted surface. Unfortunately I couldn't get this to show up in the pictures due to all the reflections. The wings also have bad paint running, tearing, etc. on the winglets. All three front splitter pieces are very thin. The reason I went with AutoID and not the eBay versions is because I was hoping these were better quality, but turns out they are the same as the cheaper eBay/Ali Express parts. I wasn't able to catch this, because they don't have any pictures of the underside of the parts on AutoID's website. Now I'm wishing I just would have paid extra to get the TRE Carbon versions. SHIT... this sucks. It cost $116 just to get these to the States. |

I'd seen this on one of the product pages and that caused a concern: "This item may contain small variances in the surfaces due to the nature of its construction. This is normal when viewed up close." If you're still looking for black, I found MHC do one but no clue as to quality or even if they're sourced from the same factories.

Carbon ones are easier to cover imperfections on clear coat, black ones are a nightmare, we can see every single imperfection. I just hope there is somewhere a company that takes quality over quantity in consideration. I don’t mind to pay a bit more if I know I will get a qualitative product. |
