Anyone keeping track of all the individual color orders. I know there was a poll to see what colors people were initially interested in.

I also have a Java on order. A little nervous because I am more of a blue person but wanted something different than my last two colors.

I’m also a blue person or I guess more of a teal but still.

I noticed I see a lot of blue cars on the road and hardly ever see a nice bright green so figured what the hell.

Plus I wanted a color that’s new to the M2.

I'm fully prepared for Java Green to be the most popular M2 color, and to have paid extra for a color that actually makes the car less unique.

That's how much I love Java Green.

Nice, me too. I put down a deposit at BMW Bel Air on July 8th for a grigio telesto in manual. There was one guy in front of me who got his allocation last week so I am next in line, just waiting patiently for a phone call that says I have a production number.

That's how much I love Java Green.

I would be absolutely shocked if that was the most popular color. The individual colors add $3000 (or $5600 if you weren't already planning to get the CF roof) to the price of the car so that's going to make all of them less common than the normal colors I would think. Plus, the majority of people just go with a black, white, or grey car even when more vibrant colors are available without such a large upcharge.

I would say Java Green is one of the best choices if you wanted something more unique.

Yes, most people are getting CF roofs anyway, so it’s not really the best way to advertise the price.

Yeah that's true, if you were going to get the CF roof or carbon package regardless of color choice then it would only add $3000, but I think $3000 is still a large enough delta to make them less common.

I got one of the first allocations for a MY25 (week 32 build date) and also selected Grigio Telesto. After my color was accepted by the factory it changed/delayed my build 10 weeks. Went from week 32 to week 42 unfortunately. All this to say, expect a similar delay given your color choice is the same as mine.

Are you in Order Received status or Scheduled for Production in Mygarage? I haven't checked in with my CA in a while and haven't called genius yet for an update.

So, that can be confusing as well. First what will happen is you’ll see you’re in order received status, then it will move to scheduled for production. After the color is accepted by the factory, you’ll see the order status revert back to order received. (Confusing, I know.) you shouldn’t expect to see it go back to scheduled for production status until it’s actually heading into production (for me that’s around 8 weeks away.)

I didn't avoid the premium color because of the price. I avoided it because of the little note that says it will delay production even longer. I'm already not very good at this whole waiting thing, I didn't want to further exacerbate the issue.

Yeah, the extra wait definitely sucks. After my car got approved for Voodoo Blue it bumped the build date from mid September to the end of November.

I'm still over here checking every day to see it move out of order received and to get my VIN lol
