Had the exact same thing on my brand new car. Wasn't there when I bought it but started around 500ish miles. Brought to the dealership and they said it couldn't be replicated. I brought the service manager out and he sat it in it agreed it was present and annoying. Long story short told me it happens on all manual cars, then changed to it happens on all manual BMW's, then ended with it's common on the new M cars. They did nothing to fix it.

Happy to report that around the 3,000 mile mark the sound did go away. Hopefully gone for good.

Dealership add oil/lubed to the area and are going to replace the master cylinder but the part is coming from Germany so it will be a bit before they get the part. I’ll update once that’s done.

The nature of the sound makes me think the sound might just go away after more use. Probably wishful thinking.

I'm assuming the oil/lube didn't help.

It did, the click is completely gone! The oiled the master cylinder shaft and that took car of it. While we wait for the new one to come in, I am simply going to monitor how things go.

Good to hear.

I wonder if this is an easy DIY.

Do you know if the lube was applied inside the car? Meaning the shaft is accessible under the pedal? I might try this myself.

mpfardresher Is the click still completely gone since it was greased?

Jboss12 did your click ever come back, or still gone?
