Umm no more fk'in stupid black sills, updated seats and colors, updated steering wheel, new paint options, carbon fiber interior trim... All huge cosmetic improvements to me. I wasn't crazy about the G42 looks when it launched but this fixes all my complaints.

Not the LCI. The same models as before, just with additional paints, a few new parts, and the new iDrive.

(After double-checking my records) There may not be an LCI for G42 at all.

Finally got rid of those ugly black side skirts. Red sensatec is also a plus. Nice.

I didn’t mind the side skirts. Made the car seem more wasp waisted.

All solid updates. As others noted this is NOT the LCI. This is just a small refresh to keep it consistent with the other models. LCI is next year.

Still wish the sportier seats were available in the US and we got a green color offered (the new red is solid though).

As someone whose 24 was delivered just about a month ago, I was nervous I'd regret not waiting, and nah. Love the wheel, dislike the lack of black sides. Neutral on 8.5 and the other changes. Overall, moot. Now, if they had launched San Remo or IOMG I'd wish I waited.

probably the car is so perfect that the. only noticeable change is that you'll pay more. for the same product.

But (and I know everybody will have their eyebrows up) I wish I could have new iDrive.

Literally the same car but people will still find something to complain about.

Let me save you the trouble:

1) pre-LCI went up in value
2) bmw designers need to be fired
3) looks like a Kia
4) so glad I bought the pre-lCI
5) BMW is losing their way
6) idrive 8.5 climate control is terrible
7) they took away the ambient lighting

Six months later after seeing it in person….

It’s growing on me 😛
Nailed it

Mild, but solid improvements. It’s good to see new trim options as the prior choices were lacking in the USA. ID 8.5 will be a slight improvement as long as CarPlay is stable unlike early ID9 vehicles. New color choices are nice. It looks like the M-colored trim lighting is now only on the doors. If the sport seats make is to the USA, it will push me over the edge to order one versus keeping what I have today. I am a little surprised that the mild hybrid is left off the M240 models. I am curious if the new wheel options will be staggered and with the extended moldings without having to get the coolers.

Thanks for the info. Read this from you - and was hoping for this MY to be it - but now you're really thinking no LCI for the G42 at all? No carbon roof option? No interior upgrades?

08/24: Carbon roof as an option on M240i/M240ix. Interior updates to make it look more upscale. New wheel options. Skyscraper Grey and Zandvoort Blue are available.
