My 2003 Porsche 996 Turbo (bought used in 2009) came with new Continental tires. Tires were marked for use on Porsche.

Tires were fine. At some point car needed new tires but Conti tires not in stock. Called around and found the Sacramento dealer had a set of proper Bridgestone tires. Drove there and got the Bridgestone tires.

As with my Boxster and Pirelli and Michelin tires same with my Turbo and Conti or Bridgestone tires. Seem to remember price was about the same. Tire life same. And car's road manners the same. Really without getting out of the car and looking at the sidewall I could not tell you which brand of tire was on the car.

If a car needed just 2 tires I got the same brand of tire and the same 'N' number. Porsche advised against mixing brands and even tire generations. Dealer techs adhered to this so really I didn't even ask.

P Zeros on mine. Were lethal on wet roads so swapped to Michelin's on m3 wheels.. tbh the Pirellis had better turn in than the Michelin's but now good grip in the wet.

Michelin PS4S on the M2. I had the Pirelli PZero summer performance tires on my 330e and really liked them. Handled great, were quiet, and at 31k mi still had 5/32nds left.

The Pirelli tires will be fine. As I mentioned in another post I drove my Boxster to 317K miles and about half the time it was on Pirelli tires (sanctioned by Porsche: IOWs has the 'N' molded in the sidewall) and the other time on Michelin tires.

I could not tell which tires were on the car from behind the wheel.

Tire life was about the same. Tires got noisy as they wore about the same. Really the biggest difference -- which kept me from trying Michelin tires earlier -- was the cost. I only switched to Michelin tires when Pirelli tires became back ordered. And fortunately the Michelin tires were reasonably priced.

I can say based on my experience high performance tires: Pirelli, Michelin (on my Boxster), Continental, Bridgestone (on my Turbo), and Pirelli on my Challenger Scat Pack; require some respect when in the rain. By respect I mean I slow down.

(Actually regardless of the car/vehicle or tires I slow down in the rain.)

My 2023 M2 with Michelin tires has not been driven in the rain.

For foul weather I have my 2024 230i xDrive fitted with all season tires -- Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Run flat tires -- for use in rain or as I'm sure will happen at sometime this winter here even snow. But in the event of snow I'll wait until the roads are clear before venturing out.
