Not at all our first 2023 M2 deposit was in Nov of 2021. We also already have a deposit on the 2024 M5 Wagon. I imagine its because we're in NY and an MSRP dealer so everyone wants to rush to us early.

This will be the one to get, the CS cars always seem to be a much closer representation of what I’m sure the engineers actually want to deliver

BMWBlog previously wrote that the CS will
Come in short succession to the base. And may jump over the comp. So likely will have Base and CS. Regardless, it seems to align with all other brands that the “hotter” version will not only be released at the end of a generation’s lifecycle. But released during pre/post LCIs https://www.bmwblog.com/2023/02/01/b...y-to-be-built/

BMW did the same with the M4 CSL and M3 CS. They waited until CSL deliveries took place, then announced the CS x-drive which will likely be faster.
they seem to have gotten out of the 'protecting' of resale values of special editions. I honestly wouldn't be surprised the G series cars get a pre and post-LCI CS and CSL model.

I expect M2 Competition to arrive first, but nice to see that they are testing 'CS-looking'-parts early.
Wonder if the CS will be AWD like the M3. Hoping the M2C has AWD option or RWD/MT option.

That is exactly what ever manufactur is doing. Pre and post, which is great from a consumer perspective. I want that CS!

The G87 and 6MT G82 already put out the same RWHP. So i don’t see that as 473hp version of the M2 therefore i think it will be auto only since the regular version is already at the torque limit of the manual gearbox.

For the G87, it can only go up for the looks department.
Interested to see how this compares to the ricer one they have at the displays.

Keep in mind that any G87 CS model will more than likely be limited in production just like the F87 CS was. If that is the actual case then they will be spoken for quickly.
Something to note, take look at the Q1 2023 sales figures below. We customer order every G42 allocation we receive and we cannot get enough. The same can be said for G20 M340s. SLP production is clearly constrained and unless a G87 Comp or CS is built elsewhere I would expect exceptionally long wait times. Edit, Worse than we are currently seeing with the base G87.
