There are a number of reasons why a finished car could be held and not move on to shipping. There could be a hold, like a parts hold, there could be a campaign, or the vehicle may need to go to Repair before being shipped, or there may be that many vehicles on the lot that have to be shipped that it's taking a while to get them all out. Don't worry, before you know it you'll be enjoying your new car too!

It got bumped on Friday so its waiting to get to the Port. Should be making its way over soon.

Don't sweat that part. I didn't have tons of details either besides a receipt for a deposit, and a poorly printed build sheet. I got my production number later on and got moving along.

Appreciate it. I did finally get the production number and it's finally made it to the USA (Port Hueneme).

Also, looks like I got everything in my build with the exception of Satellite radio. It says "Satellite Radio Preparation."

Looks like I'll be using my Sirius app.

Update: My car is on a ship and has left port on its way to Brunswick, GA! Hopefully, only a few more weeks until I can take delivery.

My car entered production on Oct 10th and still hasn't been completed. New date for completion is 11/9, That seems very odd.

This is weird, just got off the phone with the Genius Hotline and my car was dropped off at Brunswick, but is being shipped to Baltimore for processing. What? Seems odd that they wouldn't just drop it off there from the ship unless the port is a disaster right now.

The good news is they say it should arrive at Baltimore by Thursday, and a rough ETA to the dealership is 2 weeks from now.

Got an update from my CA, my car has already arrived in the Baltimore processing center!. Man, that was fast. He says it is supposed to ship out of Baltimore by Friday 11/12 so it should arrive middle of next week and hopefully take delivery on release day 11/20!

Makes sense why I wasn't seeing my build being updated in the account (still just says scheduled). I no longer plan on buying my build at this time but am monitoring it to see if my Tesla ordered 3 week after beats it through production. I'm buying a Model 3 Performance now. Ordered my Tesla on Oct 29th and my current delivery is November 22nd (don't have a VIN yet, but contacting their corporate order support shows its on schedule still). Its interesting that a company that needs to use vastly more chips/sensors can be so much faster in production schedules for certain models. Tesla must have some good supply chain connections (granted some people are still seeing 6 to 8 month wait times on some models, the performance versions don't have these wait times - maybe prioritizing higher margin builds).

If you call a genius they can give you the ETA to the dealership. My car is at the port and I was informed it's scheduled to be at the dealership by Thursday.

Talked to a genius today and mine was loaded on a carrier headed to the dealership yesterday. Should be there Monday then get the tint and everything for a pickup on the 20th.

It keeps getting weirder. Last Thursday 11/11 I was told by the Genius Hotline that my car was in transit to Baltimore and was supposed to arrive Friday 11/12. This was after my CA told me it had already arrived in Baltimore. I called today 11/15 to check on the status and they told me it's still held up in Brunswick and hasn't been assigned to a carrier to ship to Baltimore yet. They weren't able to tell me why just asked I call back Thursday to check again.

Latest update: car stuck in Brunswick for over 1.5 weeks, going on 2. There's still no release date, but now they say it's going to ship via truck from Brunswick straight to the dealer. It's not going to Baltimore anymore I guess...? Wierd, very weird!
