This is what I'm looking at for my winter setup. I've had Altimax's on my previous two vehicles and they've been great. Ice gets pretty bad on my driveway and nearby so, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Looking at Zaxer's pic, 28mm offset with 18's looks like the way to go on all 4 corners? I have the 797's with non-rft tires.

Should be good to go? Wk45 build so, I'll like be taking delivery right at the end of January.

I have a set of 18x8.5 et45 wheels and 225/40 tires from my GTI that I'd like to use for winters. Planning on ordering custom spacers to get the center bore to match up. For the front I was going to go with 22mm and going for 15mm on the rear. That should poke the wheels out 10mm on each corner and ensure clearance on all components. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Called tirerack to talk about wheel and tire fitments for the G42 with the ZTK package. The rep said they haven't been able to find a car to do their fitment checks. No cars on the lot and dealers can't let them test on pre-sold cars either.

The rep asked me if I wan in the South Bend, Indiana area and if I could volunteer for their fitments check.

Anyone on this forum with the ZTK package willing to volunteer?

My vehicle is slated to get to the dealership this Monday the 1st. I ended up just getting a great deal on a set of HRE FF10's in liquid metal in a 19X9 square setup with Nokian Hakkapellita R3's in a 235/40/19 setup all around. Should work out pretty well and look good at the same time. Will post pictures once I take delivery as the wheel will already be mounted with the 893M's going into storage for winter after they get coated.

Man I love those FF10s, can't wait to see how they look. I have been debating over them for some time for my summer set.

Can we assume that anything that will fit the M340i with ZPK will fit the M240i with ZPK? As long as they have similar offsets?

We shall see, as the Sales manager I’ve been working with has a good relationship with HRE, the set they sent him for my winter set up is exactly what an M340i owner would be looking at. I pick the car up on Tuesday and will have the wheels and tires (winter set up) swapped over the following week when it goes to my detailer for paint correction, Gtechniq coating and PPF for the front end and all gloss black items (including all piano black interior trim). I’ll post pics and update once the winter wheels are on. I went with 19x9 all around with 235/40 R3’s

M240i ZTK Winter Tire/Wheel Set

I'm in the same boat. My first time doing separate summer and winter tire/wheel sets and want to make sure I keep it simple.

My M240i has the ZTK package with the staggered 893M wheels so:
Fronts: 245/35ZR19 93Y on 8.5Jx19 ET25
Rears: 255/35ZR19 96Y on 9.5Jx19 ET35

The "standard" M240i wheels (797) are a square all-season run-flat tire setup:
225/40R19 on 8Jx19 ET27

So I went to the tire rack website and built a winter package that is basically the same as the standard wheel size and offset but with Pirelli sottozero 3 run flats. See attached. $2500. My M240i is blacked out.

Some questions:
Will the winter square setup with ET27 look like a stock M240i without the ZTK package?

On the sottozero 3's I have the option of regular or run-flat. I'm leaning towards the run-flats because these are winter tires and I don't want to deal with fixing a flat on the road. Am I going to regret not getting the regular ones? Anyone tried both and can compare?

Am I going to regret not getting a staggered winter setup too? I will be driving the M240i in cold weather, but for snow I will probably be driving a different car altogether.

Any thoughts and experiences, especially those of fellow M240i ZTK owners is much appreciated!

Those wheels look great! What offset(s) did you go with? Did you consider going with the exact same wheels specs as the ZTK package? Looks like those wheels are available in those specs which is rare. Also, did you notice a ride height lift? I think the change on the fronts from the 245/35/19 to 235/40/19 lift it .3 inch. Only .2 inch at the back.

Thanks, I ended up going with a 19X9 square set up +25 all around. I couldn't pass these up, and fitment wise for winter its great. Not quite flush but good enough especially for winter. I plan to get some TLG flaps to help with snow/debris/rock chips. No noticeable lift but i'll take all I can get to assist over winter, as I live in the snowbelt.

I can't weigh in on whether you want RFT or not. I'm guessing in Mass, you're going to have the winter wheel setup on your car longer than I will in North Carolina but I've never done RFT winter tires personally. Also, you're not going to regret not going staggered. Sure it's not going to drive the same as the normal setup but that was never going to be the case anyway.

Just put some Vredestein wintrac pro tires on my stock wheels. Super impressed with them on the first drive home in cold, dry weather. I asked the installer what he thought of the tire and he told me they are much better than the Pirelli sottozeros in snow. I was also looking at the Nokians, but they are on backorder in the stock staggered wheel size.

I would not get the run-flat, especially for a winter tire. Runflats have stiff sidewalls, not great for potholes. When I picked my car up the tech complimented the fact that I did not get run-flats because of what he's seen. Just call roadside assistance if you get a flat. A run-flat won't get you far anyways, and can't be patched.

OK. First a short rant. Why are all the websites (including BMW USA) not correctly displaying the available tire/wheel options for the 2022+ M240i? Its been out for over a year now. You have to put in M340i to get any decent results. Am I missing something or all they simply not caught up with reality yet, including BMW?

OK, now thats off my chest...I'm down to two options and would to pull the trigger in the next few weeks:

1) The one I mentioned above for $2500 which is basically a square setup like a stock M240i rolling on 225/40/19s. RF Sottozero 3s on gloss black Sparcos. I like the fact that it's basically a factory spec setup AND it's relatively inexpensive and should look sharp on my car (Black Sapphire Metallic + Shadowline). I could take or leave the run-flats.

2) BMW 19" Inch Style 898 Y-Spoke Cold Weather Wheel and Tire Set in Frozen Gun Metal Grey for $3500. Has anyone done this on a 2022+ 2er? A few guys with M340is have and love it, but other than the photo attached on a white one, I haven't seen it on a 2er yet. I love the fact that its a staggered setup with 225/40ZR19 93Y on 8Jx19 ET27 fronts and 255/35ZR19 96Y on 8.5Jx19 ET40 rears. Thats the same as the M240i with the 791M wheels and a M340i with the ZTK package. It comes with Continental Winter Contact TS 860 S tires but is almost 50% more. Worth it to go OEM? I'm kind of leaning this way simply because I can't "build" a staggered setup with OEM specs for less.

Mounted up the winter wheels/tires today, making it a bit of a "Clark Kent" look. Forecast has temps no higher than 40F over the next 10 days . I appreciate the TPMS auto learn function, as well as the ability to manually select my "-1" set up (225/45/18) as a menu option (note you can select fronts and rears). Assuming this will synch the speedo. The gunmetal finish pulls cerium trim to a darker shade (particularly in overcast skies). For less than $2k all in (TPMS included), it works for me...

I have the ZTK package.
I went with 18" MSW wheels and 225 width
Pirelli Sottozero 3 tires square for the best snow performance. They went on in February 22' when I picked up the car, and off in April for the Michelins. I had minimal snow driving with them, but was impressed with their cold, dry weather performance. Of course this was during the car's break in period, so did not spend much time pushing them, but they did not detract from the driving experience too much either.

What offset on the MSWs? Did you use spacers?

On the SZ3s, did you go run-flat or regular?

Still waiting to see if you can tell us which MSWs you got that fit with M240i with ZTK.

I think TireRack claims they haven't been given a G42 M240i to test fitments. I can't give any specific excuse for BMW though.

Why are you so set on having a staggered setup for winter?

Sorry, I don't have the specific model of the wheels handy. I've been looking for the receipt and the wheels are still in storage at my local garage. I usually change them around Thanksgiving, so I will try and find out the details. My concern was the clearance of the brakes with the 18" wheels, but it was fine.
As I said, I used the 22' M340 with the performance brakes as my model on TireRack, and they did have options for the 18" wheels.

There's no option on TireRack for performance brakes with the 2022 M340i. And if you select the High Performance Tire Package, no 18" wheels show up...at least now. Maybe things have changed since you did it? Can you not login to the site and see what you ordered?
