To your other point... most people being "chastised" don't know how to conduct themselves in a respectful manner, act as if opinion is fact, or come in guns blazing with the same negative remarks on the exterior design thread after thread. It just gets old after a while. Everyone's opinions should be welcomed so long that they express them coherently. There's practically no point in these forums otherwise |

I don't care if people like the M2. I *DO* care that they are shitposting up the forums, being dicks, and getting in the way of actual conversations. Simple as that.

That’s a fantastic question for people who spend time here despite having zero intention of ever purchasing the car.
At least owners with an actual ~$70k invested have a concrete connection to the car and this forum. Coming here to hate or rain on the parade is far less defensible behavior. |

Back in the day Chris Harris did a video that measured the fun meter of his M2 vs an Audi. All this chat about the old m2 being more fun vs the G87 being more polish reminds me of the video. See 5:25.
https://www.supercars.net/blog/chris...he-new-bmw-m2/ Maybe Jason and TH is more focused on edgy fun and others think more composed is fun. Guess everyone’s fun meter is diff. Just have to figure out which one you gravitate to. I prefer the old fun hence I left the G87 and went elsewhere . No right or wrong. But it sometimes is annoying when one leans one side of the fun meter, the other side thinks that person is an idiot. |

Maybe you have to turn off everything to make it more edgy since it’s so planted? If u drive the OG 8/10 you get edgy fun, but maybe u have to drive the G87 to the 9.9/10 with stuff turned off to get that edginess. I’m just speculating since I don’t own a G87 and have no skill to actually drive the G87 to that skill level.

everyone needs to chill out on getting baited by reviews. Be old school and drive what you want to—don’t care so much what everyone thinks. The modern condition…

He’s going to taze a few of you.
One of the finest videos ever made if you are a car guy and also explains how his mind works. (Which I love). It might be different to yours but that’s what makes the world go ‘round. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=meEvjRXtwxg |

The way I read this is that the new M2 is a much better performance car... well, can't argue there... win win again.
Sounds like Camissa misses the old car that is all over the place... no thx... keep it.

just posted. looks like they start off talking about the M2. cliffs: - he spent a week daily drivng the new M2 - too big - poor riding luxury car that is trying to be a sports car. He equates it to being a heavy luxury car that its suspension swapped with a track cars. - F87 is a better car in almost every way - the UI is terrible (things buried deep within it, auto starts with lane assist, etc) - if only comparing to modern rivals its ok (steering is ok, it has a manual)

The Revelations ones are good as well. I love the one on the FD RX-7. While I might not always agree with the Hagerty new car "reviews"/ICONS, the production quality is so top notch that they're almost always worth a watch.
