from a car enthusiast perspective, 9114S would be so much better! Its classics look, very dailyable, yet you can bring it to a track day anytime! 911 are so capable, and so sweet to drive.

M240XI is good too, but it's no 911! It's a muscle car in comparison, and its controversial looks will NOT fair as well as the 911.
In 10yrs, or even 20yrs, your 911 will still look good!

these are just my 2cents.... having said the above, I sold my 991.1S, and waiting for a M2 currently.....because I am also a golfer

It was such a pain to have no trunk in the Porsche, and I don't like my club dirty the interior....

So for which car to pick, it really depend on your priority!

Don't think they are close in comparison, but obviously if money is no object, the 911 4S is beautiful. Just remember, the tail lights represent 9 bars and 2 dashes in the middle representing 992 which are cool little intricate details I love about Porsche. M240xi, fun car PDK is pretty damn good

I understand the 911 is your dream car but if no 911 then why is the 2nd choice a M240? There are a lot of cars in between.
An M3 comp X-Drive has all the performance of a 911, is $40k cheaper and is more practical than both of the cars you're considering.
I love the 911 as much as anyone else but I wouldn't want to daily it.

Just to close the loop. I'm going with the 911. While the M240ix maybe more practical I'll always be thinking about the 911. Just today driving in shit weather it performs so well and gives so much driver feedback. You only live once and having one won't change my life style.

I've accepted the 911 allocation at MSRP with a lock in Oct, Nov build and delivery in late Dec!

Thanks everyone for your input!

Very interesting. Is the p car market coming back down to reality? No ADMs on a 911… did you have to negotiate for this or was it a deal set in stone by the dealer? anyway, congrats!!!
