it could be a damping issue. To me there feels like a 30% increase in damping across the drive modes that are available. Perhaps the system is 'stuck' in a higher setting?

I can say that my HAS car does not have a rough ride. The only place the suspension seems to get confused is when hitting several square edged pavement patches in quick succession. Then, it seems to produce a resonance. I chalked it up to heavy rims and big tires. Otherwise the car is perfectly comfortable. Firm, but better than my Miata, and similar to the Golf R.

Coming from the G42 to the G87 with port installed HAS the biggest thing I noticed was chassis stiffness. Suspension is slightly stiffer - perhaps comparable to G42 in sport mode (without run flats). I have driven and ridden in various cars, but never have I felt the chassis as clearly as with this change between two very similar cars.

Also, OP, are the winter tires run flat? The stiffer sidewall would make the ride much harsher.

They're not run flat. As someone else mentioned above, seems to be on square edges only. Bigger bumps etc. it's totally normal. I'm thinking it's just the tire? Sidewall doesn't seem too soft at 30 psi for a winter tire

Maybe you find someone near you with the same car and go for a ride.

I have the KW HAS and the roads where I live are crap and mostly concrete I noticed an added harshness and increased cabin noise and vibration. It’s not a huge increase but enough to be annoying at times when you know the stock springs were a bit smoother.

I guess it could very much be Chicago roads. I'm going to wait until my break in service and have it checked out. I'm sure it's just how the car behaves.

We were out for a Christmas cruise in the M2 yesterday and came up to a section of the freeway that was all cement. It was rough, we both looked at each other and Siad maybe we avoid this road again in the M2.
