That's a strange looking dyno graph...

I understand that the majority out there follow similar naming conventions when selling their power upgrades, but it's not defined as some industry standard.

They could be advertising flash + downpipes as stage1. Nothing wrong with that. Is it confusing? Sure. It's just better to list out your mods because labeling some stage can be vague as hell.

Sorry but I beg to differ. There are general industry standards

Coming from the Subbie world, Stage 1 is tune only and no hard parts. Stage 2 is at least Downpipe and tune. Even though different platform, I would never call a set up with downpipes a stage 1.

As far as I know, thats a stage 2 tune, but probably a more conservative tune. Here in Brazil we have a few unlocked S58, they usually range from 680-720whp on a E50 Stage 2 Tune, with downpipes and a less restrictive exhaust.

That sounds about right.

Hey! We know that when we tune a car we are always putting strain on the vehicle, we have used Tom on all of our cars so far and have not seen any issues! The biggest thing we say is to maintain the vehicle keeping it going for longer!

This is 200BHP to the crank, the increase is slightly higher compared to the G80/G82 due to the G87 M2 being detuned from factory.

Proof is in the pudding really, the car made 478HP at the Crank stock and 674HP at the crank after loading the Stage 1 File, these really are capable and to remember the G87 M2 is detuned compared to the G80 so the increase seems more substantial.

And he referred to this G87 M2 platform more then once as the S55, which we all know isn't true. Nice numbers, but there's only so much the stock fuel system & turbo can push. This is certainly a Stage 1.5 or 2 tune. Not a pure Stage 1. But nice try R44 guys. We all know it takes controversy from the start to get those click figures up. So job well done fellas. Mission accomplished...

The Stock fuel and Turbo from our experience does around 720-750HP when tuning to Stage 2 with appropriate hardware, A stage 1 can easily do 670HP on the highest quality pump fuel in the UK, remembering this car has 200 Cell Sports cats, an Eventuri intake and an OPF Back exhaust.

The increase does seem substantial due to the G80/G82 but that is due to the G87 M2 being detuned from factory,

The proof is in the pudding, we have the dyno graph to prove.

Any further questions drop us an email or message, we would love to talk in detail.

It’s important to note that the car was running some supporting mods

R44 200 Cell downpipes
Eventuri intake - (Matte)
OPF-back exhaust from Grail

Hey bud, we loaded a Stage 1 "Software" to this car but with Stage 2 hardware, next step is to load the Stage 2 Software and push it to its limits.

Love that color. We have one local RS4 b7 in that color here, and always take a few double takes when I see it!

Nothing to differ about. There isn't a set industry standard for what we are discussing. I can develop a tune or hardware and call the packages anything I want.
