I've since installed:

Kies Motorsports sequential turn signals. Note on fitment - these do not fit 100% as well as OEM. There is a gap & it causes a whistling that gets old fast when your windows are down. I am going to leave them in since I bought 'em, but I'd advise against purchasing until Kies works on the fitment.

Morel underseat subs. Easy to install, very well made & totally plug and play. Noticeable improvement in bass volume & quality. Highly recommend. I've not replaced the rest of the system yet, but I am. I've started work on the psgr door (sound deadening, running wires.) BMW has totally changed the door construction & for the better.

Zunsport oil cooler grille cover. $170. Easy install. Does the job nicely. Doesn't add any weight worth talking about. Don't overbuy/pay for this mod. Get the Zunsport.

CanDO+. Super easy install. I have not played with its functions/possibilities yet - but the weekend is coming.

SST Exhaust Valve Controller. Super easy install, well made unit. NOTICEABLY LOUDER EXHAUST. Program A & B to your homelink buttons - total, easily accessible valve open/close control.

50th Anniv Heritage Roundels. Use 3M adhesion promoter - don't skip this step.

Kies Carbon Fiber seat back covers. $159 - totally worth it. Very nice covers & weave/finish are both perfect. Spruces up the interior very nicely.

Hexagon mesh in front grille & Carbonio no drill license plate mount. Does what you'd expect. But I am going to look for a better grille solution. Works for now. (The Carbonio needs the mesh in order to be mounted.)
Do you have any pics of the new subs?

Here is the thread re: CanDO+. https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2105095

BMWDIYGUY has a couple of youtube videos showing you how to do some things, but it's so new, there is not much content about it. Think of it like coding features, but works off of what is available in/controlled by the CANBUS & iDrive.

I haven't done any vids yet of the exhaust but when I get all the parts & install them, I am gonna do a before & after video & sound test (loudness dBs.)

The 100% valve open though - VERY noticeable both in loudness & how much deeper it sounds. Burbles are awesome. I can clearly hear the exhaust inside the car. Love it. Worth the price of admission!!

Note that it does not disable the close-valve that occurs at idle. But as soon as you depress the clutch, the valves open right up.

OH MAN! You just HAD to ask that! LOL I totally didn't even think to take any. I will be installing the rest of the sound system this weekend if the speakers arrive on time. I will take some pics then & post them here.

I will be doing a separate thread for the stereo install. I am not doing Bavsound or Bimmertech, so hopefully other folks who don't want to go that route will find a thread about custom options helpful. I've already learned some things.

We've put some videos online, if that helps:

Here's one for quick reference on what you could do on Engine Start:

Some Maxton Parts Installed

The rear diffuser was a PAIN IN THE ASS to install. No idea why they just didn't use OEM clips like everyone else does. (Git on it, Maxton - your install sucks.)

Everything is real nice quality & the ones I picked for my car are very subdued - just give some accents vs adding all kinds of crazy wings & bump-outs & general overdesign cues you see on some of these parts.

The spoiler is installed over the OEM spoiler - don't need to remove it & actually, it works as a guide for perfect placement. Sits over the small lip at the top of the trunk lid, too. Real nice fitment.

I haven't installed the side skirts yet, nor the front splitter. Gonna try the front splitter later.

MAXTON Street Pro Front Lip Installed

I will post better pics - wanted to get these up there asap for show.

It took me a while to figure out how to install this bad boy - almost gave up!! But I sat down, thought about it, watch youtube vids on installing other brand's front lips - and I saw the light.

And I ran to the light. And it was good. I will post a thread on Exterior Mods forum on how I installed this. That way if anyone is thinking about buying this one, you will have a WAY better installation method than what comes with the lip - which, by the way - was no instructions at all. And there are no G87 specific videos on their site for installation either.

But it's done & I think it looks fantastic. I am going to have it PPFd glossy, too.

Is that the Maxton Street Pro V1? Is the most minimal design I could find.

I’ve got this lip on order. How long did it take to arrive?

Very curious on the install.

Need moar pics - daylight pics.

Nice job, and it looks good! Please share more details about the installation process. I have Version 2, and I'm considering returning it if removing the bumper is required for installation. Did you need to remove the entire bumper to install the screws on the left and right ends?

Yes, this is the V1 version. I will post better pics & more detailed installation instructions later today.

You don't need to remove the bumper, but you do need to remove the underbody panels. The hardest part of the install is getting the nuts on the end of the bolts - very small spaces to work in for 2 of the bolts. Everything else was VERY easy to do. If I had better instructions - or any, for that matter - from Maxton, the install would be WAY easier and quicker.

3 tips, which I will provide details on later:

Tighten the screws that replace the OEM 10mm screws that attach the bumper to the car carefully. If you overtighten you will strip the OEM clips.

Because the bolts protrude in the recess behind the bumper you have to modify 2 of the underbody panels to fit around them.

Only use 2 of the 3 predrilled holes in the lip to attach the sides. The 3rd hole, closest to the edge/wheel, it is too close to the inside wall of the bumper & you won't be able to get the nut onto the bolt. Not enough room. The 2 other holes are sufficient to hold everything in place.

I ordered the lip way back early April when they were out of stock. I knew it would not be arriving until early June. The other parts that were in stock would have arrived within a few days, but I said ok to hold off and ship all at once as I didn't have my car yet.

Once I got notice the lip was being shipped, I'd say 4 or 5 days it was at my house.

^^ Looks great! Love the minimalistic look where it doesn't stick out 3-4 inches, and not super low either. Basically just low enough to be "flat" to maintain the correct rake.
Thanks for the install tips - sounds fun! Maxton got back to me early this morning and said mine will ship in July. Plenty of time to sit here until November.
I may decide to have it primed/sprayed gloss black then gloss PPF'd while I wait. Or just gloss PPF'd or vinyl'd if the installers think it'll stick to raw ABS.

Can you take a lower frontal pick to show how much light you can see behind it? I assume there'll be some pretty big see-through action on this lip since it doesn't fit flush up against the bumper contours.

Thanks for the tips. I had an intuition that the black plastic panels at the bottom could be opened up. Thanks for confirming

Not me, I have the SST valve controller. I saw in another thread, though, that this isn't possible because the valve is not controlled via the CANBUS. That thread is probably in the exhaust forum.

Yeah, we don't think it can be done. You have to tap into a couple of systems, or use a remote.

The flaps are controlled with a simple PWM signal (10% or 90% duty cycle for open/close) from the ECU, so you have to tap in between the ECU and the flaps.

One thing we've considered for a properly integrated system is to create another device that taps into the PWM, and wirelessly bridges to the onboard canDO+, so you'd have extra "flaps" Actions for the onboard device (eg, you could map the steering scrollwheel to flaps, or any of the other Triggers).

The only real advantages here are a simpler install and better integration, though there are controllers that tap into the cruise control buttons, if I'm not mistaken.

Food for thought, just not sure we want to invest R&D in another product?

Looks great! I hadn't been on the forums for a while and sheesh: you didn't waste any time!!

Looks great! And since I JUST did this: I'm glad you were able to skip the step of removing the existing spoiler. That was a pain!

That front lip design is nice too!

appreciate all the tips. the install process sounds similar to their lips for the A90 Supra. FT speed did a few detailed videos.

did i miss the detailed version of your install? esp interested in how the underbody panels need yo be modified.

HAHA! I love it! It's a sickness, right?! LOL (I feel your pain!)

Hopefully the sun will be out tomorrow - if it is I will take pics as best I can to show you maxton gloss black compared to BMW black sapphire.

But I can tell you that 90% of the time & lighting conditions, it's exact match. But BSM can oftentimes reveal a pearl-like, silverish tone or effect or even come off as grayish black. So there, it's not an exact match, but the Maxton gloss black contrasts with that VERY nicely.

It's a really nice, deep gloss black, very high quality finish. The only part that is not gloss black is the front lip because I got the street pro one, which is matte black. I used a graphene coating on it to deepen the black. Here, it is not an exact match, but contrasts/blends nicely.

I will include sunshine pics of the front lip, too.

The street pro is, for me, the ideal lip because my car is lowered (MP HAS kit, port installed) so I can't have a lip that sticks out from the bumper or sits too low.
