I will always pick a manual if it’s an option because they are objectively more fun and engaging. Rubbery? Not quite. I think the throws are too long though and a SSK will fix that. |

Thank you - I will do that. Can I ask one more question about them? Looking at the link Tag posted, can you confirm it will be 2 white and 1 blue per corner? So I should have 12 total in my glove?

Just drive the car and if something feels off ask them to put it on the lift and inspect it. They'll even let you go into the service area to watch; all you need to do is ask.

The hate the manual gets is something else with these "reviews". The manual is fine, not the best and not the worse I've driven. Can always mod the shifter and tweak it for better feel. I'd say the ride in comfort is just about right for a performance car.

The suspension is firm but dampens the impacts well. You will feel every bump and crevice in the road but it won't crack your teeth. I may have an altered viewpoint though as our other car is a '24 740 and that thing is like driving a lounge chair on marshmallows...ha ha

This is my first BMW and I generally have not liked BMW's but I found the 240 and M2 to be very much not in line with these reviews. By far the most compelling offerings in the small segment they occupy. I feel like the only people who actually reviews these cars correctly are Joe Achilles and Misha Chadrouin

It really depends on what you’re used to. My former M2 rode better than my F250 but not better than my Bronco Raptor. It’s firm and can cause squeaks and rattles due to its firm ride.

I like Doug’s sly smile when he says, “lots of people hate on this car but I’m not one of them….”
Doug is agenda free. Although I could never afford a GT4, the drive portion of his GT4 review when he’s merging hard onto the freeway makes me wanna at least try to buy one. He’s unabashedly joyful. |

And Chris Harris (as already mentioned) and the Smoking Tyre. People who i respect as reviewers and know what they are talking about tend to rate the M2. Throttle House must have been having a bad day when they initially reviewed the M2 - their subsequent review of the auto (when they had it against the RS3) was much better (I still don't agree with their conclusion but they did walk back their criticism of the M2 somewhat).

And -1 for Matt Farah. Dude had the gall to compare an E46 M3 to a Ford Focus. He's biased in own ways. I see a theme here in how I judge reviewers based on what they say about the E46 lol. And then the reviewers/couch journalists alike who drive a neglected 170,000 mile spec and base their opinions on that.. The only G87 review I ever needed. |

I was tryin to decide whether I was going to buy the m2 or the integra type s but went with the m2 cause they gave me $4,000 off MSRP. Was $74,500 with all the options but I told them that if they give it to me for $70,500, I'll pay for it in cash and take it home right away. They agreed and I don't regret a single thing. The car is absolutely amazing, and whoever can get a good deal on one should buy it!

I've got no problem with the 6MT. It's actually damn good. It will be better with a SSK, which is my next mod.
Wish the steering had more feel. Nothing like the beautiful BMW hydraulic steering racks prior to 2014. |
