I don't know what is but I really can't stand the 458.. I like the 599 GTO but can't get around this one.

Not sure about that. the McLaren was almost 3 seconds faster then the 458 around the same track... feeling doesnt crown the king, the faster time does.

This is the same nonsense people were saying about the GTR. Fast is fast

Plus the McLaren is a turbo car...its forced fed.

Anyone can develop that power with turbos.

Ferrari does it naturally aspirated at 9000 rpm

Go beat that Porsche and McLaren.

At least Porsche is priced at a good value. Ferrar is the best, Porsche is the value-best (ie. 2nd)...and this is the order of things.

Woops my bad. I guess I'm not disappointed then (didn't see the TopGear episode above) I love the GT-R immensly BTW; in the same manner I like the MP4-12C. They're both not the go-to car for fanbois.

Hey man, thanks for sharing this link. I have been really disconnected with whats going on around the world. So finding a link of a top gear preview has made my day

Anyway, I found some more links. A track video for the MP4 and evo review on it by the one and only, Chris Harris. I can't embedd that video.

I wonder what he means by that

Anyway, I guess some of the points Top Gear stated were wrong. I dunno if Richard Hammond was being sarcastic about the Mclaren not being tested in Nurburgring but it has been tested there ALOTTTT. Here's a link on how Mclaren were trying to perfect their new road going car.

James May made the remark about the Nurburgring in reference to a previous Top Gear episode in which he suggests all cars developed and tuned at the Nurburgring end up with tough, uncomfortable suspension and thus are worthless. Basically, it was a joke...

sorry, you're wrong. developing a turbo engine that makes 593 hp is an amazing feat. especially when you can drive it everyday and still get 30mpg. i love the 458 too, but the mclaren is faster, period. looks and feeling, subjective.
