I'm in the same situation. I've had some calls with Genius where they gave me a lot of info and some - like yesterday - that just refer me to the CA. I think CAs can get more info too. However most just look at the same screen we are looking at and don't put in any effort to look further. I called my CA yesterday and he told me it was at port and he would let me know when it flips to in transit. I'm thinking "no shit sherlock"!

Genius and CAs can look at work orders and current status checks to provide more info. They either don't care or don't know how.

Hoping our statuses flip today to make for a fun weekend 🤞

So I am still listed "at port" on the app so i called. and to be honest a lot of my frustration is because i am taking them at their word because they are supposed to know.. but now it seems like most info i get from BMW at all is to be taken now as a grain of salt and practically meaningless. anyway just looking for correct information cause im burning vacation time for nothing really... the first person i speak to today says and i quote...

-Genuis1 "Your M2 is assigned a carrier and is heading to the VPC then it will be released again and go to the dealer"

I said "I thought the work order was closed so why is it going back to VPC if I was told it was already loaded on a truck.. why was the work order closed if its not ready to go to the dealer and needs to head back to VPC"

Genuis1 "yes but it still has to go in transit back to VPC before going to the dealer"

I said " this makes no sense can i speak to someone else about this"

Genuis 1 * getting up set "sir this is the process everyone goes through"

i just hung up at that point and called back

the second person instantly knew who i was talking to previously, and assured me that the car is on a truck waiting to head to the dealership, they could be waiting for a full load. and i was advised to call back this afternoon if the app doesn't update.

Whoohoo. My tracker just updated to AT DEALERSHIP, I’m surprised my CA haven’t said anything yet. Idk how long inspection and the wash takes, hopefully some time tomorrow would be good as I still need to go to the bank to make a certified check today.

Still “at the port” for me down in Brunswick. Delivery they are telling me is set for Saturday to Greenville, SC. We will see…

Being first off the boat I could’ve sworn I would have it by now. (No port installs).

They really want the sale for EOY, so when asked if I would pickup on New Year’s Eve my obvious response was of course.

Also, if you guys haven’t tried the plant tour in Greer, it is absolutely fantastic. We’ve been there twice, highly recommend.

Genius just replied to my email I sent last Friday.

After my status flipped to In Transit they confirmed I am on a truck and that truck is estimated to get to the dealer tomorrow.

This is great news although my dealer is only about 2 hours from the NY port.

Hopefully I can take delivery on Friday or Saturday.

Just got off the phone with my CA and now he’s saying that the work order hasn’t even started. According to genius it was started on the 21st but he just got an email saying otherwise. He was given mid-January as the ETA. What is going on???

Are you doing Performance Center Delivery? Mine is scheduled for next Friday, 1/5. Car has been there for about a week now.

Mine also just updated to In Transit as of 7am EST - was on the Grand Champion stuck in Baltimore VPC for the past few weeks.. Headed to Virginia dealership, should arrive in the next few hours I am told !!
