They did a good job with the new one. They finally brought the interior into this century. The 5.0s sound good too and the 10 speed is great for drag racing. Only issue everyone and their brother has them. I should add that could be a benefit the aftermarket for the g42 kinda sucks but you know the mustang will have support day one.

Not to intentionally further derail this thread but since you guys are talking about Mustangs and Kia/Hyndai products...........Before buying my M240i, I drove a lot of cars and I did drive a Mustang. The GT with the performance pack had great reviews. On paper, I thought I would like it: I didn't. It was hard to find one to test drive so I had to drive 30 miles away just to find a dealer that had a GT with the PP 1. 5 minutes into the test ride and I knew it was not for me. There was no comparison between it and the newer M240i ('22+). I wanted to like the Mustang but it was cramped inside, uncomfortable, rough riding, loud and the interior quality not on the same level. Sure it had power but it wasn't smooth. I guess it has good to great handling but I never explored that because it was so uncomfortable. But that may be part of the car's appeal.

Years ago, I looked at the 1 and 2 series but didn't buy one because of the "cheap" feeling interior. BMW has come a long way with their interiors. My '24 is nearly on the same level as the '22 Genesis G70 (top of the line model) that I traded. Not quite as luxurious but the G70 is more of a sporty luxury car rather than the Bimmer's more sports car orientation. The M240i is actually easier for me to get in and out of than the G70. My M240i is just as comfortable as the G70 - maybe a tad more for me because the seat fits me better. Yeah, there are some things I might miss (perforated ventilated seats, suede headliner, better interior lighting, etc.) but the performance and handling make up for that.

Another thing to consider is the resale value. If you trade or sell, you are likely going to take a bigger hit with a Mustang or Kia/Hyundai product. DAMHIK

I wouldnt own a mustang, and I can be quoted here saying no self respecting enthusiast would drive a kia haha. If anything I'm waiting for the upped hp version of the g87 to come out or a g80 because the 4 doors would be easier.

Interesting that dealerships are saying MY25. I was assuming MY26 as that would split the MY runs 4 and 4. We started with MY22 and will stop production with MY29. Wait and see I guess.

Configurator has been live for months. Not a carbon roof option, at least for MY25.

Seems as though all MY25, regardless of interior trim, have padded kneepads.

That's good for orders that don't want black leather seats with blue stitching, which I believe was the only way to get padded kneepads in previous years from the factory?
