Yup, but that hybrid motor and battery add 500lbs to the amg gt, that c63 is going to be like 4300lbs.
Thats a shame. I really like the previous gen C63s coupe. I know it was heavy but the sound was awesome. I dont think they are even offering a C63 coupe anymore in the new gen.
They will offer again C63 and a C63S with a total total system output of 670 hp and 750 Nm with the hybrid 2.0 litre engines.

Even with the plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid systems, the overall weight of the new setup is claimed to be lower than what's used today. Apparently the new setup is around 110lbs lighter than the V8…

We gonna see how all this goes…still strange to know these are getting a 4 cylinder…
That happens to be the best turbo 4 in the business

I am just sayin

They need to compensate for the weight of the car somehow even though no amount of power can hide it.

The plot thickens...
Maybe 453hp is top spec until Comp arrives as LCI with updated S58TU.

The S58 has already been developed with all the technical changes of the B58 TU1. If the S58 receives a TU1 for itself, then it will only be for emission reasons. Euro7 is calling.

Don't forget there's a TU2 for the B58* maybe that will be incorporated into this S58T?

It actually makes perfect sense.

Put in the S58T in the G87 (somewhat detuned) .... Then tune the Fudge out of it, and stick a CS badge on it

So the M2/M3 CS will share the same platform with slightly different top-end range

Smells like things are lining up for the M2 xDrive. Still don't think it's happening? Look back at all the denial chatter when the M235i was out. Then boom, M240 with B58, with option of xDrive. 2026 is looking good (though I doubt it'll take that long)

Meh, it will. Same thing was said about the M5, then the M4/M3. Not sure why the 2 series would be so special not to…

The way BMW has been operating as of late I would be surprised if the Comp got the manual.
I'd also think they're going to do a CS and maybe a CSL with this M2. This is likely the last of the purely petrol powered M cars.
So probably no manual for the Comp. Manual only for the CS and/or CSL?

I'm on the fence to be honest about whether or not I'd get a manual at this point. Yes they SHOULD offer it. However, if my wife is going to enjoy our next weekend toy it probably needs to be an auto. She was great at driving a standard for a long time her first three cars were standard trans. But last time she drove one, it was pretty whack, she needs some practice and I don't want that to be on my M2.

So I may not even wind up with a manual if it's something she sees herself ever driving.
