West for nearly 2 decades. I'M always near the major intersections: Legacy & Preston
121 & Preston Park & Preston etc. I'm much more concerned about teens in their compacts, texting, and facebooking then a Mom driving her escalade. That's for damn sure. |

To the point though, I am hoping level 5 self driving cars take off soon. The masses need this type of technology to play with their phone, smoke their cigs, and put on makeup. And yes, I always get tense when I drive by the local high school when school lets out |

Looks like they tried to rip off Range Rover, failed, and ended up with a truck that looks like the broken side of an old barn.
You can have a RR Sport for 65 base. 85 gets you a full Range. Might as well, then you won't look like a colossal urban wank.

Saw it at the LA auto show. I like it, except the rims.
I really want to feel what those seats are like, and hear that Revel system.

Perhaps those that buy a Navigator are more comfortable being a colossal urban wank than a pretentious overcompensating prick in a base model Range Rover |

Supportive seats in the "base model" RR are far more comfortable long term than the absurdly squishy ass and back torture devices that are generally available in American engineered land yachts. Hah.

Interior is actually quite impressive. Quality looks good (certainly better than the Continental) and the design is unique. It's like a more modern, chic version of something from the '50s. Really cool and innovative design approach in my opinion.

Interior reminds me of a plastic/vinyl chaise lounge.

I like it if only because it's perhaps slightly less obnoxious than an Escalade, and/or because everyone who wants a big full-size luxury truck-based SUV buys an Escalade, because the Navigator has been outdated for so long.
I am not a fan of driving such a large vehicle and don't like trying to see over them in my lowered BMW coupe, but I am capable of admitting that me commuting to work in my bright blue modified BMW coupe, is probably just as dumb as someone else commuting to work in a bigass land yacht SUV. I might get a bit better mileage and obstruct fewer people's view of the road but other than that what's the difference? I have fun blasting up on ramps in 2nd gear, other people have fun wafting along in a luxofied truck. I've got better things to do than call people names because of what they choose to drive. |

Looks good to me but to big for me. Build quality is pretty good have several friends with 5+ old Navs that are still hauling kids and pets with over 150 k on them. I wish and hope my X5 has the same longevity. BMW's are nice but the resale value sucks with both the cars and motorcycles.
