Thanks Geighty7.

Here's my spec:
Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Vernasca Leather with Blue contrast stitching
Black High Gloss Trim
19"/20" M Alloy Double-spoke Jet Black Wheels, Style 930M with Mixed Tires
Exhaust Tips In Black
M Shadowline Lights
Adaptive Full LED Lights
Automatic High Beams
All Packages
Shadowline Package
Lighting Package
Sunroof and DCT
Got the basics

Getting tint Thursday and PPF in two weeks. Cheers

Excellent! No DCT in the car, it is ZF8 but you’ll still enjoy it. A little more refined than the DCT but apparently can handle more power. Congrats again!

Thank you, Geighty7.

I was initially sadden about the trade. The G87 actually drives better than I thought and better acceleration. Definitely less chance of being car jacked in the M2 now.
Probably need a mesh or sort to cover and protect the large lower jaw on the M2.
Cheers!

Man, this thread has more ups and downs than a rollercoaster! Enjoy that 718 but based on your buying history, I'm guessing you'll be in a 911 GTS by mid year next year lol.

LOL. Nah, the 718'll be my last car before retirement.

The 2024 M2 was fun, but the paint job was shitty to say the least; unpainted passenger door trim, rear trunk lid, rear bumper looks like I just got rear-ended. The dealer wouldn't even respond to emails. So I took a hit and sold the car to Carmax. Whoever buys that car will be lucky as it's PPF'ed full front & side above rear tires, full ceramic tint, and parked inside 24/7.

I asked my P car dealer for a 718 GTS allocation, they responded with a 10K ADM and told me it will be the last CE before EV kicks in. Will share the car when I get it in late 10/2024. Cheers everyone! Enjoy your M2

A nice car, here in Australia it is around $70k more than a G87 and the dealer support network is far from acceptable.

Lotus owners often use the acronym `Lots Of Trouble Using Serious'.

Buyer beware.

I would never buy a car again from New Century BMW in Alhambra, CA. Poor post-sales service

More like a car that has been test driven on gravel roads without PPF, I would say. Doesn't look like any damage it would leave the factory with.

you would have to be really moving to collect that much damage on a gravel road i think... definitely possible but i have a long gravel driveway and have driven carefully on a few gravel roads and zero damage like this so far... but agree certainly after factory

Only needs about 50km/h / 30mph to do that sort of paint damage. The gravel roads around here are usually 80km/h speed limit, often with oil company service vehicles passing at 120km/h vehicles that are doing the speed limit, pretty well guaranteeing a broken windshield and hundreds of stone chips in just a few seconds.

yeah that will absolutely do it! unsure how many roads like that there might be in SoCal though. reminds me of a friend in the midwest who picked up a new Evo X, only to have the paint destroyed in a matter of seconds from a truck accelerating over loose stone on the road in front of him...

On paved roads, a new asphalt topping with the loose stones that don't adhere to it can give the same effect as a gravel road. Even just going to fill the car up before delivery over a freshly paved road where they didn't remove the loose stones, could do the sort of damage the OP had on their car.

I had just got the PPF done when I was on the highway and I hear all these pings like I was going through a rock storm.... I was livid and like wtf is going on, I'm in the fast lane, there are no trucks I can see.....

Then I get up ahead and there is some fucking parking lot sweeper in the fast lane looking like pigpen with a cloud of dust and rocks and shit flowing behind it ... resulted in one deep gash THROUGH the PPF and I'm pretty sure it pitted the fuck out of my windshield...

Them's the brakes though if you're going to use the car. Just lucky it was after I had the PPF done otherwise I might be in a similar boat as that guy

The first one's always the hardest. But yeah, that sucks.

That's happened to me on brand new windshield replacements. Happened on the wife's rig 2 days after the $1,200 windshield was replaced. Went from brand new , to 5 years old looking in about 25 seconds.
