***EDIT*** - Bimmercode had an update that I applied (on Android), and all is working again! I was able to code out my usual. Troubleshooting 101

I don't know why you would need to code it out. Once you push the button it should remain off for any future starts.

Also, didn’t someone have issues with the parking break releasing when depressing the clutch after coding it?

Hopefully it’s a position restriction type change and not something related to brightness / content.

That was me and at least 2 other G87 forum members. I even opened a case with NHTSA about it. Bimmercode devs did not have any rationale for the behavior, but who knows if that answer was CYA or legit.

Not on my car! If you have instructions that would rectify my situation I would appreciate it. I am using an Iphone with the Bimmercode app.

The update changed some of the settings on my M buttons, seemingly randomly. The legal text seems to stay on the screen forever now too.

I have 2 M vehicles and it works this way on both. I picked my M2 up in November and have not hit the as/s button since day 1. You can also turn it off for both M buttons, so set your default driving settings to M1, set as/s to off & it'll work that way as well.

* this is without doing anything with bimmercode.

Doesn't this require going into M1/2 ? i prefer having the memory active by default. eg: so AS/S isnt active while the service center is working on the car.

I did the recent idrive update and bimmercode still worked fine for the module with AS/S memory (had to redo the coding). i reported on the inaccessible modules, hopefully they release an update for us iOS users.

Yeah, there's a dedicated AS/S button on the console and the setting persists across starts. I turned it off on day 1, and I occasionally turn it back on for traffic jams, and then back off again for weeks at a time.

If someone's car ISN'T doing that, I think it's a bug of some kind?

Fixed for clarity. Euro M2s don’t persist.

Hi,
Before the update I had a message on the dashboard that I have to service a car until end of September.
This is the one that I get in the service package. It states that the service is after 30k km or if the car will tell you to do it sooner.
So my car decided that my service will be optimal after 15k km. This was reflected in the myBMW app.

Now the car doesn't need service but in the app I can see that oil change is due after 13k km.

I have to wait until tomorrow to find out what is going on and when I have to make the oil service.

Did the same to me. There was an update to bimmercode database and can access BDC. As habit I always check for an update to Bimmercode before using, they are on their game! I was able to turn off my seatbelt warning again (it undid that). I just turn off the driver seatbelt reminder as I will always put that on, I leave the passenger one on. In Bimmercode I code with my car as an M3, try that...

It also undid my B&W sound profile, all the Body Domain Controller (BDC) changes, The seatbelt ECU (forget its name) and undid my glare-free highbeams that were working perfectly.

I was able to code everything back but the anti-glare high beams. These remain broken.

Also this breaks ProTool. I was previously able to activate anti-glare high beams through ProTool by VO coding the BDC, Headlights and Camera. ProTool now doesn't recognize my BDC and Camera. It is now useless, and ProTool support says it will take some time for them to "catch up" to these updates. Bimmercode still works for me as it did....

I also did the manual FDL lines for anti-glare high beams in the BDC with Bimmercode, and not working....so I suspect this changed how those get activated slightly...

I otherwise see no differences in how anything works. I wish they would just put a seat heater icon down by the temp up and down area so I don't have to go into menus to turn on seat heating....

Also, if no-one knows what the canDO+ module is, check that out...will set your car settings (sport, comfort...etc.), turn on M-mode, and allow you to assign things like seat heaters by just touching one of the iDrive buttons....so I never have to go into that HVAC menu anymore. Best mod I've done for everyday living in these modern cars with everything behind a screen.

I have my first year service appointment coming soon. I plan on telling them NOT to upgrade the software. What are the odds they will do it anyway? I say 100%.

There wasn't a bimmercode update avail when i did the idrive update, but I emailed them immediately after i saw the issues, and they responded immediately that they would look into it.

I just launched bimmercode app to check for the update you mentioned. updated and i'll check my car tmw, thanks! i had been checking through the apple app store with no luck.

i was due for my break in service, which is why i rushed to do the update so that i could recode the AS/S memory. i didn't want the svc center driving my car around with AS/S on. And I had a feeling they would do the software update anyway, i recall there is an SIB for a driver profile issue (which i did encounter).

in the end my break in service didn't happen cos the dealer refused to do it if I wasn't over 2000km mileage. but that's separate (annoying) story...

You can tell them that, usually they won’t do the upgrade unless it is something critical or truly regulatory. They always do the “scope check” where they hookup to the car to look for errors, I presume that’s when they would be warned about potential software updates. I think with the new over the wire updates the dealers are updating these cars less and less, saving them time in the bay.
