You'll see that the front of your rockers panels attached to your front fenders have been slowly sandblasted & taken a great deal of abuse. Enjoy your car man.

I regret not getting the PPF. Less than 1k miles before I got a rock kicked up at me from opposite direction traffic. Left a chip and a dent in the hood…

That sucks. I had to drive mine about 200 miles before ppf and had a similar incident. No dent, but a decent chip in the hood.

Dirtywabbit It looks like you installed tint on your windows. What did you go with and what are the specs on it? I love how it looks on the car and your build looks very similar to what I ordered.

Also, is that the M performance spoiler, or did you order an aftermarket once that is the same shape (at a lower cost?)?

I went with Llumar ixr, and is 20%? (one below the darkness legal in Florida) the spoiler is the Tre ID-01. Is a mix between the m performance and the CS.

I couldn’t reply to dm but I live in Miami but do not mind driving to Fort Lauderdale or north. I just looked up Xpel official detailers and they showed a bunch of places but you never know these days I only trust from word of mouth or pics. Lmk

if it chipped and dented the PPF almost assuredly wouldn't have saved you

Not necessarily & I would have to disagree with you on this. Regardless of the impact, the end result would've been far less harm to the surface level clear coat & paint underneath that had the thick & fairly resilient PPF been on top. To what extent of finish damage would've occurred... ? None of us will ever know because we can't rewind the clock. But surely the damage would've have been substantially worse. Now if the stone or debris was bigger than a dime, then that's a completely different series of events.

A little late but here she is. Picked up End of June. M performance parts and MP HAS all port installed. Rear spoiler from Kies Motorsports (looked much better and beefier than the M performance one). Had full PPF done right away.

Shoutout to Phil and the folks over at Detailers Domain for really taking good care of me. They did the whole PPF, ceramic coating, black M2 badge, and the rear CF spoiler.

DO_e90 that looks awesome! Are you in the NJ area if you went to Detailers Domain? I have nearly the same car as you ordered and hoping to take delivery in the next 4-6 weeks (ready for transport right now).

Yup, I’m in north jersey. Very few G87’s here let alone FPB. Its a head turner for real. Congrats on the car! Sometimes it moves quickly. Call genius and get an idea.

No PPF cause rock chips aren't really a issue where I live, will use that money on forged wheels/MP HAS etc.

went with the regular ceramic coat this time, they have a $500 one that's better that I'll probably go with next time
Did you go for the Matte paint prescription from Dr B? That includes the nano coating, right? How’s it holding up?

Trying to figure this out as this is my first frozen. Just picked up yesterday

I’ve got a ‘25 FPB coming in a few weeks and I already set up an appointment with my local Dr. Beasley certified installer to do the full matte pro ceramic. Not doing any ppf, we will see how the paint holds up. I don’t do too many highway miles so I’m not that concerned.

Looks like it includes it, I bought stuff separately though. It's holding up well, good beading and stuff slides right off it. I went with the regular one though next time I'll pony up the $500 for the pro version. Basically with frozen paint you want to minimize friction and not use gloss enhancing soaps/products on it.

No PPF either and no visible damage in 3-4k miles despite some gravel truck's best efforts on the highway, this paint is tougher then most people think

That’s good to hear. I’ll scoop the kit and will most likely go pro as well later on. Just want to get all the wash and maintenance items first

iifymbro yeah that’s looking great still. Makes me happy because won’t have a garage and doubt I will hand wash more than every 2-3 weeks.

yeah driving on wet roads gets it pretty dirty from the road spray n' such but if you leave it out in the rain when you park a lot of it comes right back off with the ceramic coating applied, not like washing it but it makes it look good enough.
