I also assumed sarcasm. Their join-date means they were here when the whole SLP-racism thing blew up in the forums. So I assume they were just referencing the previous tempest-in-a-teacup.

I'm so lost. Mineral is still "mineral" in German, so I have no idea what your hint means.

The chances he isn't a bigot are also infinitesimally small for the same exact reason.

You can if you want...free speech and all that. Anyway I'd be happy if someone left me some free tacos.

I am all for jokes. And if this was joke, I approve. Just make it clear. The funniest jokes are often the most offensive and even if I appear sensitive, I am not. I just like to call out bullies when I see them.

Sarcasm doesn't show well on these forums especially strangers. When I make a joke I usually add "j/k" (for just kidding) at the end of my post.

Sometimes things are so absurd that the fact that it's a joke is self revealing. As is the case with the German vs Mexican metal joke that was clearly poking fun at the people that are mad that an M car is made in Mexico.

Most of the time I will give the benefit of the doubt. I do not know that poster and I assumed the worse. We have folks like that around here. I had nothing telling me otherwise.

I hate that option, it messes with the GPS. Whenever I try to plan a route, it always sends me to Los Angeles, home of someone named John Conner. Very annoying.

Also, I can't let this pass without saying "I see your beer joke." Makes sense, would give the car more 'hops'.

It’s sarcasm folks.

If you couldn’t spot my sarcasm, I guess you wouldn’t acknowledge the fact that retooling a German plant to assemble G87 is absurd. Not as absurd as racism thought.

PS
my original account here is before 1997. Got to reactivate it.

All good then. Some BMW customers do have a sense of entitlement and they would have the expectation of BMW retooling a plant for a niche model like the M2 CS (absurd I agree).

Thanks for clarifying.

I wish we had a sarcasm font.

I use emoji's when being sarcastic because no matter how you meant something it almost never translates to simple text. I do like the idea of a sarcasm font, that would be the schnitzel.

Not sure if this is good. That means there could be no comp version of M2 in manual.
