Any Frozen Pure Grey G42 M240i?
Hey everyone,
I am ordering a G42 M240i, but hesitant on the colour. I am deciding between the Sapphire Black Metallic and the Frozen Pure Grey, however, I can't find any pictures or videos of the car with the latter colour. Does anyone have it in that spec? Thanks |

Frozen colours are a nightmare.
They look great in the showroom lights but outside look terrible. On top of that… You can only wash them with specific car shampoos. God help you if you get bird crap on them You can’t polish out scratches or colour match accident repairs. Personally, if you want that effect, I’d wrap it. |

I don't think anyone has a 2 series in frozen yet, at least none that I've heard of to date.
Here's a link to a discussion of frozen paint from the detailing sub forum. It seems like it might be labor intensive to keep looking good, but you can wrap it. However, you can also do a stealth wrap on a standard color to achieve a similar effect. https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...=Frozen&page=2 Hope this helps, Bill |

There was a guy who had his bg warped with satin ppf. It looked sick honestly but my only hesitation is the maintenance part. But if you research the maintenance and feel it's something you could do then go for it, it will def be unique.

Don't let people who haven't owned (or even seen?) frozen paint scare you.
Search the forum for 'frozen' -- someone just took delivery of the first frozen grey M2. Beautiful.. mine arrives in a month. |

I would get a sapphire black, and the difference in my market is about USD 1500, I can't even get a base G87 for the price of a fully specced m240i. That is already on my budget limit. Maybe that'll be the next I'm happy with what the G42 offers for the price.

WOW!! That looks amazing, but DAMN that would be hard to protect.
I've only had my BG since June and already have chips in the paint. I wish PPF wasn't so expensive. |
