I agree. I’m clinging onto hope that this colour, possibly the worst colour I’ve ever seen on a car, isn’t helping.

Anyways, It is what it is.. No point in crying over spilled milk - this botched rear plastic surgery they are considering the bumper is a already wrap for now. This model certainly doesn't have the same instant appeal I had when I first laid my eyes the M cars of the past, such as the E46, E92 (my favorite), F80 or especially all variants of the F87. I can't remember the exact day but I do recall how I felt about those vehicles when I saw them, like drooling 🤤 This one feels more like take it or leave it kind of deal. Like; we're giving you a cheaper M4 package, just uglier and slightly smaller - so just shut up and like it! I might still spend 65k on this because of the overall specs but I certainly wouldn't have the same enthusiasm I would have of M cars of the past. 🙁 |

Only saviour - when driving it, the rear can't be seen, and if you reverse park, you never need to look at it. Clutching at straws... |

Hmmm. Looks like I am waiting until the Comp in Fall '24. What to get in the interval that will keep value for trade? F87 M2 Comp? G42 M240i (Hate that black painted lower body work), C7 Grand Sport 'vette? I'd like to stay below $70k.
Hmmm.

I'd say a Cayman but it's above your price target. I read Porsche, besides Ferrari, has one of the best 5 year depreciation figures; something like 20-25% for standard models. Of course the GT cars trump these figures, as many appreciate. There are few 4 seat performances alternatives to the M2, that's why some here will buy it buck tooth, bone shaped posterior and all 😆

The 3.4L in the 981 S and GTS trim is a great engine, and if it has PSE (standard on the GTS, optional on the S), it sounds amazing stock.

Honestly people!
Who cares about the Competition when the new M2 looks the way it does??? Everything sexy about the F87 is gone! |
